Funny thing is the last defenseman to get 5 assists in a game is.... Dion Phaneuf

Not to derail this thread, but that is nuts.
Harveys the best burgers amongst the real fast food chains. Flame broiled. Pick your toppings. Etc. The only problem is you can't eat them on the road they get so messy.
Burger King is at the bottom. It would go something like this (just for burgers) -->
Harveys > DQ > A&W > Wendy's > McDicks > Burger King

Back on topic, the apathy towards the Leafs is now prevalent. Leafs fans have turned off.

Phaneuf is not better than Letang, but Letang also gets to play with Crosby and Malkin, so he is going to rack up the points. If Phaneuf played for Pittsburgh I'm sure he would be putting up big numbers too. If Letang played for Toronto how would he look? It's hard to say, but I doubt better.

Phaneuf is overpaid by a million but he is still a top defensemen in this league. I'd say there are the top-tier Dmen like Doughty, Subban, Hedman...Phaneuf is one level below those guys.

EDIT: Burger King does not suck. Anyone who says McDonald's is better than Burger King! Ha! You don't know nothing 'bout burgers my friend!

Letang got 5 assists and Crosby and Malkin were both out with injury, were they not?

He might actually be, given he is on pace for less than 4 goals this season. Not good defence, mind you..

And the lack of awareness required for BigTuna to make that post is... breathtaking.

The cheese stuffed burger wasn't bad, by Harveys standards. Maybe it is just the Macleod Trail location that is the problem though. I usually go once a year to remind myself of how bad it is.

Yes, but the 5 goals were scored by replacement superstars Hornqvist, Sutter, Spaling, Perron and Downie you see.

I've been to the Harvey's in Marlborough, Brentwood, and the Airport, and I like all of them. Never been to Macleod, but I can't imagine not liking a Harvey's.

Harvey's is great if you have 15 minutes for your burger to get made. There is a reason it's a dying chain.

HockeyCentral's panel is basically stating right now that the Leafs are looking to trade Dion Phaneuf. Said there are teams out west who have expressed interest. (Please, god, no...). Interestingly, Kypreos says one team has told him that they expect this to become like the Luongo situation. Said Toronto is trying to shoot for the moon and won't get it.

Really though, what else are they going to do?

The Leafs are so poorly constructed with where they have allocated the big dollars that unless they find a blockbuster deal for Phaneuf, Clarkson or Kessel. they are going to be bad for many years going forward.

I dont think Clarkson is tradeable...period. Kessel with his contract comes awful close to that level as well being a winger. So that leaves Neon Dion who although he is both overrated and overpaid, does eat big minutes and if not leaned on to be a leader on a team could probably round himself into a pretty good player again...though never ever 7 million a year good.

That leads me to believe that he could be a trade chip but the leafs will never ever get what they want for him.

A struggling player with upside and a decent pick may be the ceiling on his return.

I grew up in brentwood and miss the Harveys like crazy. Of the big chains we only have mcds and burger King here, and I've been off bk since I got food poisoning from them last year.

Yeah, I used to go to that Brentwood Harvey's all the time. Loved it.

Are you kidding me? He's close to Clarkson in value?

Let's stop pretending Phil Kessel is a penny overpaid. He never misses a game and finishes top 10 in scoring every year with Bozak centering him.

We have all seen the Neon Dion show. With that said why would anyone want that baggage back here? Even if he was playing even close to that contract, he brings a very risky personality back here.

You think him getting traded to a lesser market will make him happy. Who knows what you are going to get. Then expose the young players to his style is courting disaster for little gain.

I think he fits well on the Canucks or Oilers. Not even from a hockey needs category but a personality fit. Let those guys figure out why the Leafs are where they are. Two dressing room leaders, one hot shot dufus, the other an emo porker.
