About 15 games ago, I would have said.. but if he gets on base he's awesome.
Lately he's been thrown out or caught more times than I care to count. Just dumb.
Bring back the Slack Jawed Yokel!

This is what happens when you rely on your scrubs to finish off a game. Ergh.
Tolleson, this is all you.

Mistakes coming back to haunt us. Pillard shouldn't have tried to be the hero and played that first one off the bounce and keep the runner on first and concede the run...

Another glaring hole that AA better shore up if they want to contend; the bench. Schlubs on there, to say the least.
If Tolleson plays average 2B defense on the routine DP ball that Janssen forces in the 9th, and the game is over 20 mins ago, 4-2.
Then Gose, who may be on the bench when Rasmus (hurry back!) gets back in, squares around 4 times for a bunt and makes contact only once, of course when it's strike 2, fouls it off thus striking out.

I will now retract this statement and praise him as a hero. I am an emotional fan...

Boo Yaa!!!! Great clutch hitting in the 9th. Leapt off the couch with Pillar making up for overplaying that flyball.

The Jays seem to be more mentally tough this year. That is a crucial element in a team that can contend in the playoffs. It's ok to lose 2 in a row just don't let that turn into a real losing streak. We've seen them recently avoid falling into significant losing streak after seeing a win streak come to an end.

At least when they lost a pair, everyone except Boston and Baltmore lost 2 as well, (Baltimore won only 1)
Also, with the win, Boston and Tampa slide even further back. It's almost to the point where you can write them off (Tampa more so).
