Yeah, I forgot they were missing Welker. Let's call the defense a push. I just look at the good defenses/teams the Pats played this year, and they got knocked around quite a bit.

The Pats defense is still god awful, I'm not ready to call it better then any years past. Can't wait for Sunday. Hopefully two close entertaining games

If they can jam the TE's at the line and the weather isn't good, it will be very hard for Brady to stretch the field.

Yeah i would have to agree they are pretty comparable 09 was just an older bunch this D is definitely younger.

Spikes and Chung back healthy against a run first offense is a big factor too those guys definitely help a struggling D

Lets see how the Raven's fare against the best QB they have faced this year...

Baltimore's defense will certainly be a test for the high-powered New England offense, but the defense's limited passing yards against is also a reflection of the lack of good quarterbacks the Ravens have faced throughout this season. The Ravens didn't face Tom Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Eli Manning, Matthew Stafford or Matt Ryan. They did, however, face Andy Dalton twice, Seneca Wallace, Dan Orlovsky, Matt Hasselbeck, Blaine Gabbert, Tavaris Jackson and Kevin Kolb.

They also played Matt Schaub, Phil Rivers, and Ben Roethlisberger (twice). In fact, the calibre of QBs faced by both teams is relatively similar. You can just replace the ones mentioned above with Vince Young, Mark Sanchez (x2), Ryan Fitzpatrick (x2), Chad Henne, Matt Moore, Tyler Palko, Curtis Painter, Rex Grossman, and Tim Tebow (x2). The difference is that the Pats still got lit up.

Not too mention that the Pats haven't beaten a good team all year unless you count Denver. While the Ravens have beat the 49ers, Steelers(x2), Texans(x2) and the Bengals(x2).

I think the game could easily go either way but I definitely don't see why people are favoring the Pats so much.

This wasn't meant to get any Patriot Fan Boys into some trash talking about something not relevant at all to the Patriots D. Tom Brady is a great quarterback, we all know that. No need to re-post what has already been stated in this thread.

Upon entering the stadium, all Giants fans will be handed a card telling them how to contact police. There

Awful call on the illegal contact. Defender had his space and the receiver ran into him. Tough being a defender in a league all about offense. Good hold by the Ravens though, getting some pressure on Brady.

I think the defender slightly moved to his right after Welker changed direction.
It's really close.. think of it like a block/charge call in basketball.

Still had his space, that's how one is coached to play DB. Offensive players can't just run into the defender and expect to get the calls.

I thought it was a really weak call on the Illegal contact but story of the game right now is the Ravens O-Line. Looking horrible, Pats getting pressure and sack with 3 man rush and can't get the running game going. Ravens WR's are open but no time to throw and Flacco is missing them when he does get a chance
