A simulation would be really cool, though someone would have some work to do.
Well that's why I suggested rotisserie so it's not all based on points. Your team could finish near the bottom in points, but there +/- and f/o % could be right at the top.

I'm cool with whatever, I wasn't trying to complain or anything, I was just mentioning what I'm trying to do and that I'm going to stick with my game plan.

I'm sticking to my old plan too. If it were a money pool we're doing then well... I'd be changing my plans around pretty quickly

I do think the pool idea is a great idea and the way it would be set up would benefit teams like yours. Like I said before it only takes a couple minutes to sign up. Even if people are lazy I could draft all the rosters.

I like the NHL sim

if it was done in a pool type thing it changes the type of players to take

I agree with the idea of doing a sim on NHL 12.

As for the voting on the board, how about we do it in a tournament style? 1 VS 30 etc... all the way down to the best team.

I couldn't let Grabner go...

However I'm kind of stuck now, 3 wingers and a defenseman

Who is the default player given to whomever misses their pick now?

I believe Jimmy Howard is BPA right now (according to the NHL.com draft).

For some reason I have a feeling you guys don't exactly understand how this sort of pool works. You don't just draft players that get points you try and get players who are well-rounded in all categories. A player like Grabner would be good for goals and SHP, but could hurt your +/-, or Giordano would be good for blocked shots. Then we could also compare which team scores the most goals or has the best +/- or throws the most hits.

And the most important part of all it's all for fun and no money is involved.

Again I just really think would be fun and thats why I'm pushing for it, we could do both ways to.

Since Locke already had a goalie do we still give him
Howard or the BPA at a needed position?

And since Locke already has a goalie, if he (or anyone else who has already picked a goalie) missed his pick I say we would have to give him the best skater available, which appears to be Mark Streit.

I say give him Cooke or Torres or some other dirt bag. Tardy should equal bad picks

OK, Mark Streit then, as he most likely would NOT be picking a G.

There are a lot of other options for locke than an injured for a year d-man. I am sure Striet will be a good pick but not in the 4th round. Mike Green is still out there as is James Wisniewski who are both great skaters and OFD minded. Just a thought.

You might be right, but we can't start predicting who someone is going to take. The only fair way to do it, IMO, is to take the BPA based on the NHL.com draft, and in that draft, rightly or wrongly, Streit was taken in the middle of the 2nd round.

Mike Green was taken late in the 1st round though.

Where do you see that? The link I'm reading has him taken as the 9th pick in the 3rd round by the Leafs..?
