You know, statements like this really don't make you look like Einstein either.

I suspect the majority of the Republican party is moderate, but they are not the vocal part right now. Eventually, that will come back and bite them in the butt in a way that will make them actually address the nut job factor, but as long as they think this is their path back into power, they will be hard to convince otherwise.

You need to remember than 2010 was not that long ago, where Tea Party candidates won in pretty convincing numbers in many areas. It will take a while for the moderate right-wing voter to realize that it won't be getting better than that for a long time.

See how stupid that sounds?

not all republicans are dumb, just the ######s in Washington, along with the democrat counterparts.

Both asshats in each party are doing this crap to spite the others and put the "republicans did this" "democrats did that" I hate our politicians

But you have to admit that Republicans as a whole are pretty out of touch with reality in America, no?

Yes, as all of those fat cats in Washington have. they live in a special little world up there.
I'm pretty conservative, but I have some liberal ideals too. I've been arguing with some people on GatorCountry about Cruz, they (republicans/tea party) love the guy and keep saying "cruz for pres". these are the same people that were screaming "obama was born in Kenya" but neglect to acknowledge that Cruz was born in Canada.

So, all the normal Republicans, are the quiet ones, so quiet, you actually never even knew they existed, weird. The only Repub, I have any kind of respect for is Chris Christie. He seems like he genuinely cares about his constituents and is not in politics to push his personal agendas. Otherwise, just look at the GOP leader finalists, they're all beyond nuts.

This is how I picture the GOP in my mind

actually, I have bit of respect for McCain, it's to bad he picked a dumbass for a running mate.

Then you are nothing more than narrow-minded and guilty of stereotyping.

Something so many of the "enlightened" regularly say about the right.

Ironic.

Narrow minded? Well, prove me wrong.

I watched the GOP leadership debates, open minded, until it was obvious, Republicans of the highest regard were bat #### nuts.
I lol'd when Akin said legitimate rape will not cause pregnancy.
I lol when I hear Republicans talk about climate change.
I lol when I hear Republicans refute science for God.
I get angry when I hear Republicans saying shooting AK47's are fun and everyone should have one.
and it goes on and on and on and on.

I'm not narrow minded, I'm perceptive.

I REALLY need to prove this statement...wrong?

I lived in the US for 11+ years...i know many a Republican and i can assure you plenty of them were a whole lot brighter than average.

I think you have no clue of which you speak...none. You paint over 100 million individual thinking people "stupid" because you dont agree with some of the politics that the party that closer than any other represents them, has some outrageous and crazy individuals spouting off and getting media attention for it.

You can call yourself perceptive all you like...I will say what it is.

not everyone should have one, I personally don't like the weapon and prefer the AR platform.

It sounds like there is a fair amount of infighting within the Republican Party right now over these tactics.

Most people don't pay attention to these details and will just default blame to the person in power when the economy sinks further. The Republicans know this and don't have anything to lose.

Money in politics will prevent that from happening. As long as unlimited special interest money flows through political party koffers via SuperPACs (as a result of citizens united), we will never see a moderation of the GOP.

Money won't keep flowing unless they keep winning (at least the mid-term elections).

If 2014 doesn't go the way of 2010, I think there will be a big shift in the direction the money is willing to go. If it does, and they gain ground, then you are right, it will likely never change.
