well i'm pumped. i'm sure not many here know who kidneythieves are, but they just released a new album after being broken up for 8 years. and since they're releasing it independently free of any major label, i have no problems spending my money on it

I can't be the only one who thinks that Gorillaz album Plastic Beach is pure garbage. I like the song with Mos Def and that's about it.
I didn't care for it much at first either, but this album has really grown on me lately, im starting to see the reasoning for the great reviews. I will admit there a couple of annoying tracks but there is some really great stuff there.
Although if you never like Gorillaz in the first place you probably wouldn't think much of it.

Yeah, see I LOVE Demon Days.. But, every time one of the songs from Plastic Beach comes on my iPhone, I go: WTF is this crap? Oh.. Gorillaz.. right.

I think its better as a headphones album rather than just having obvious standout tracks like the previous Gorillaz albums. The 2nd half gets really good in my opinion.

I just heard that Megatunes is closing. I'm not surprised, but still sad because I've spent many hours in that store over the past 15 years. I'll have to take advantage of the sales to help rebuild my vinyl collection.
I think the last 3 cds I bought together were The XX, Band of Horses and Kid Cudi.
The last album I got was Danger Mouse & Sparklehorse - Dark Night of the Soul. It's looking like this album will not be released for sale unfortunately due to some label issues, so I'd recommend the download option. Great album!
Korn III - Remember Who You Are is a brilliant piece of work from my fav band! The last couple of albums have been a little weak for my taste but this bad boy is exactly what a Korn fan ordered!
This is a bigger, more byzantine Arcade Fire . . .There are no wrong turns.
Radiant with apocalyptic tension and grasping to sustain real bonds, The Suburbs extends hungrily outward, recalling the dystopic miasma of William Gibson's sci-fi novels and Sonic Youth's guitar odysseys. Desperate to elude its own corrosive dread, it keeps moving, asking, looking, and making the promise that hope isn't just another spiritual cul-de-sac. After all, you never know who might be coming in the next car.
Really like The Black Keys album. They are joining the Kings of Leon tour later this summer, I'm really bummed that the show I'm seeing next week, won't be featuring them as opening act.
