My experience in the line was that there were all kinds, young, old, men women, the able and disabled, degenerates and the curious. It was a bit of a spectacle. I found the experience to be quite enjoyable from a people watching perspective alone.

I heard that the stores are only open between 10 AM and 2 PM. Is that true?

I noticed that and didn't know what to believe. Not sure where I heard the 10 - 2 thing...
Thanks.
I haven't smoked in 8 years, mostly for personal reasons and the fact that most of the stuff I was getting was closer to pencil shavings than MJ. Oh, and having to listen to some burn out hippy drone on about the world for an hour just to pick up a quarter ounce.
With regulated quality and legal access I might try it again, but as of now there are no shops in Red Deer. Would have to be a road trip and want to make sure everything is in order first.

I got a back-stage tour yesterday of a cannabis store in my small city. They have lots of stock and expected $100,000 in sales yesterday. Their store is beautiful - looks like an Apple store. It’s next to a pizza place and a Sleep Country, lol.

Almost all municipalities have established permitted operating hours and many go up to 2 am. Stores cannot open outside of those hours but can close earlier.

When you put it that way I can see where you and the rest are coming from. That said it wasn't my intent to make myself appear better than anyone else.

It’s all good. You can make it up to us pot heads by posting some pictures of delicious BBQ like you normally do.

You'd said you will never try it. What about for pain relief? There are different strains that have different effects. Why never?

I know a lot of people with irrational fears regarding Marijuana and drugs in general who refuse to ever try anything ever, no matter what, I blame Reefer Madness

I was chatting with someone today who said Canada didn't go far enough and should legalize all drugs.
he doesn't believe the majority of drugs of any type are dangerous if used responsibly, and would be much better for everyone if their contents were regulated. his examples were cocaine and synthetic drugs, specifically ecstasy and acid.
what do you think? is this just the start? what drug is next in the fight to be legalized?

Yeah legalize like 90% of drugs. I really don't care. Maybe keep things like heroine and bath salts illegal. At least the manufacture and distribution of them. Treat their use as a health issue rather than a criminal one.

They should be treated as a mental health problem and not a criminal activity. Supported by legal & safe availability with education & support to get clean.

I generally agree, Proper education and industry regulation would see the amount of Drug related deaths decrease significantly among youth at the least. I don't even want to think about how many Fentanyl deaths were due to it being cut into Cocaine. Things like Acid I'm kind of iffy on, but to be fair it's on the list of things I've never tried... having known a few Acid Heads, watching their minds degrade was deterrent enough. Mushrooms are probably the next logical step for commercial production and regulation.
