This. Romano probably doesn't pitch if they get a couple more

Agreed, this teams inability to blow the game open when they had many chances is inexcusable.

Yup. The loss was on the batters not adding more and coming in clutch when totally needed against a beat up but killer team. The Romano thing quite honestly was on himself. Schneider came out with the intent of pulling him but the certainty with which he said no gave Schneider little choice. Totally on Romano - gamer or not he should not have shook it off if he wasn't on his game. There's probably 20% of that on Schneider but what is he supposed to do when his closer is that confident? I love to beat up Schneider but this one was purely on Jordan. I still think the batters didn't do nearly enough. Surely on the surface it was a nice come from behind but so many of those were because of errors. You can't rely on errors every game.

Again, Romano seemed mentally distracted for the first two hitters, even then an inside out swing barely down the line for the first hit was hardly a terrible pitch or injury related pitch.
He didn't looks and his hand after that, got an out and then was a milli second away from a double play ball to get out of the inning. Another batter floats one two feet fair to win the game.
The bats took off, as mentioned when the Rays hit the pen. Both of the rallies in the game were with two outs as well so "not doing damage with the bases loaded" is a bit unfair because they got the bases loaded with 2 outs.
Stretching the Rays pen out for tomorrow and a potential WC is just fine too.
Jays are right there with them, injuries or not, so get the playoffs clinched early in the week if they can, get the (silly, for a 2nd or third WC spot) celebration out of the way asap and hope to catch a batting streak and also hope the pitching stays solid.

We lost but out of town scoreboard was optimal with Astros losing to KC again and Seattle losing. This upcoming series between Houston and Seattle will be desperate.

Also people need to chill out the team had fight today and almost won. In other places Houston is being smoked by KC and Oakland, Cubs lost two out of three at home to Pittsburgh. Texas can’t really beat anyone but us. Heck even Baltimore is scuffling lately.

Yeah, a split versus TB is completely fine, and they're 1-1 out of the 6 so far.

If they had never come back from being down 5-0 we would just be like ok split series so far and hopefully win the series tomorrow, but after coming back and being up 1 in the 9th and losing hurts a bit more. But yes a split so far in Tampa is good and hopefully we get good Yusei tomorrow.

Great to see them fight back yesterday - you could tell it was coming. Put themselves in a position to get a HUGE, season-changing win, but unfortunately, Romano didn't have his game.
I agree with those that are blaming Schneider - it was obvious that Romano didn't have it. And you have Hicks sitting in the bullpen, pissed that he didn't finish the inning the day before. I was screaming to bring in Hicks.
Oh well, you can't win them all. And the Jays are putting up a good fight in the Trop (for a change)

Today could be one of the most important games of the season. A series win in the trop could be a huge confidence boost. Let's go Kikuchi!

Also, 4-3 the rest of the way guarantees playoffs, so a win today puts them in a great spot, going home for the final 6

This team needs to use an opener every game or something...starters are getting worked in the 1st inning way too often, making our offensive players grip the bats even tighter.
