Fantastic start for Sanchez. 13 pitch, 3 up 3 down inning.

Sanchez gets out of a huge jam, but Seattle scores to make it 1-0.

Gross - that caught stealing is exactly why small ball is dumb. Quickly went from runner on first with no one out, and now suddenly there are two outs and no one on. (Pillar flied out on the next pitch)

That was a terrible attempt, has nothing to do with small ball. Given how off that throw was, he should have been able to get around that tag.

lol

Look at Seattle's run - the batter shortened his swing, put the ball in play and knocked home a run in a super tight game.

Just because Pompey got caught stealing, does not make small ball dumb.

Ugh. Ugly at bat for JD. I don't think those shadows are helping either.

Well, I've already clearly outlined how small ball actually reduces you run earning potential, so no need to re-hash that. It just seems like such a wasted out when you get caught stealing, and its frustrating to see.

I don't think Jose is going to make a lot of friends with that backwards trot to first base. Who cares though, ####'em if they don't like it.

Yeah, you're right and a long line of the best managers in baseball history are wrong.

And what you stated was an opinion. Even if you use stats for your argument (facts), your conclusion is not absolute, it is an opinion, based on your view of the facts.

So please refrain from telling us that you have 'clearly shown' it to be true.
