The term fight forever for these two really means something.
All the little details right down to the refs clothing make this really immersive.

Somehow thinking Owens vs Orton would be a bigger Wrestlemania payoff than Owens vs Zayn was a mistake.
But I do hope they have the sense to have Zayn beat Owens for a title at WM one year since that would be the ultimate payoff

While I agree in theory, this was all building to Owens/Randy at Mania. I wonder what they do with Zayn? I like that they've been doing with Karrion Kross, but obviously doesn't feel befitting for Zayn's position.

The KO vs SZ match was amazing in every way, but I can't help but think that blood would have put it over the top as far as a match of the year goes.

Props to the guy in the Flames jersey along the walkway to the ring.

Amazing finish, and fantastic foreshadowing for the heel turn. The long term storytelling by the WWE should be commended. This ain't week to week booking like under Vince. Lots of doubters were proven wrong tonight. They knew exactly what they were doing all along. I love that Meltzer and the like we're saying Drew or Paul were going to win. Again proves they have no clue what they're talking about.
Some commenters comparing it to Hogan's heel turn at Bash at the Beach. I wouldn't go quite that far, but I wonder how hard they're willing to go with this. I hope they don't end up turning Cena face a couple months from now. They need to stick with this now that he's sold out.

They refused to turn him heel, even when the fans were tired of him and NOW they finally turn him heel? It was huge tonight, I'm not criticizing it. I'm critical of Vince McMahon for not doing it over a decade ago.

He still has that "favor" from Paul Heyman.

Part of me thinks they should have done Cody vs Cena vs Punk - have Punk win the match tonight to get the WM shot.
Rock comes out to challenge Cody, Cena is still there, and then Cena turns and gets added to the match as the third man because of the Rock.
It makes more sense than Cena winning and then turning. Why does Cena need to turn once he's already won.

Yup, we will have to see what comes of that. Maybe the triple threat (Punk/Roman/Seth) will be on night 1, with the winner being added to the WWE title match on night 2?
In any event, there are some very interesting storylines going into WM. Going to be some interesting Raws and Smackdowns in the coming weeks.

I don't know how you logically keep Punk out of this Rock + Cody with Cena story either.
Punk has always had beef with Rock and Cena since he felt like they took his main event spot.
It would have made too much sense.

That was a card that bought everything together story telling wise. The only "weak" spot in the card was the Nia, Candice vs Tiffy and Trish, it wasn't a bad match, but it couldn't match the rest of the card.
In terms of my favorites
Kevin Owens versus Sami Zayn - Outstanding, emotional matchup that felt more like a fight then a wrestling match. I loved the little details like the Ref not wearing an official WWE shirt to emphasize that this was a unsanctioned match. This was a brutal match, with a lot of nasty spots, and it bought back the chair to head shots, and the old barbwire chair match. Loved Kevin wearing the Hitman jacket before the match. Whenever these two get in the ring magic happens. They then set up a KO versus Orton feud after the match.
5/5 stars
Woman's elimination chamber match - Just because this was high tempo, and there were some really great and brutal spots. Liv Morgan really shone in this match. The opener with Jade beating the hell out of Naomi was stellar though Jade got face pops for it. The hair spot to the cage spot with Morgan repeatedly slamming Belair into the cage was excellent. So was the hair whip to Morgan that looked painful as hell. I love Alexa Bliss, but her timing is way off and she seems slow compared to this generation of woman. Roxanne Perez took a major step forward in a losing effort.
4/5 stars
Men's elimination chamber - The only reason why I put this here is that the pacing wasn't as high as the woman's elimination chamber. But the story telling was surpreme. McIntyre's temper tantrum was great character development. Rollins absolutely screwing Punk opens the way to a great feud based on real theoretical heat between Rollin's and Punk. Logan Paul being eliminated was a surprise, so was Priest. I love that Punk continues to put in little salutes to his favorite wrestlers, seeing the Hart Attack was great as was the Savage Elbow.
4/5
Tiffany Stratton Trish Stratus beat Nia Jax and Candice LaRae - Not bad, but not at the same level as the rest of the matches on the card. Trish looked rusty and you could see it in her trying to do a top rope Stratisfaction. There wasn't the same level of intensity in the match. LaRae is a solid worker and good for the company to put her with Jax so she can be the workhorse. On an average day this would be a decent match, but it just wasn't to the higher level of the rest of the match
3/5
The Final Boss destroys the American Nightmare - It wasn't a match so I put it here, but this was my favorite segment of the night. Frankly as soon as Rhodes told Rock to go F himself, I went uh oh something really bad was about to happen, I just didn't see that bad being Cena. Having Cena turn heel was a surprise, but it's going to sell a ton of tickets. Cena did it in a convincing style with a great dead facial expression, and a look of disdain from the audience. I'm really invested in the why he did it. The beatdown got color, so now I understand why they didn't do color earlier as it would have taken away from this moment. We know Cena will end his career as a face. But this is as big as Andre turning on Hogan and slightly behind the formation of the NWO. But it was a shock moment, with amazing potential, but I want to emphasize, there's no way that Cena ends his career without getting the adulation of the fans. BTW I knew that something was up. turn was coming by the way that Cena won in such an opportunistic matter.
7/5 stars
Overall - This was one of the best PLE's in a long time, every match was quality, the level of story telling was elite. There were a ton of shocking moments. The people going on to wrestle mania. Bianca and Cena just makes absolute sense.
4.5/5 stars

It would except that the Punk/Rollins thing with Rollins screwing him is the best way to go. Punk doesn't need to have that rub with Cena and the Rock.

Anyone else constantly distracted by Cena's growing bald spot. He is going to have to either shave it off or join the hair club for men.

would make more sense than Rollins vs Punk vs Reigns which is also rumoured.
Cody vs Heel Cena vs Punk with Rock as the puppet master would have been amazing.
