I mean its odd these things happened AFTER the Oilers went over the cap in the summer with no plan to get out of it.
don't worry Brown will get paid and the Oilers will be off the hook.
Evander Kane did something bad enough for the Sharks to terminate his 7M AAV contract but was immediately available to play for the Oilers at a fraction of that
some people need to wake up, league is rigged. Makes it even more hilarious that the Oilers suck so bad.
I think Gary has had enough though, McDavid will get his special treatment elsewhere soon IMO

Why wouldn't they just say that, if that was the case? Instead of specifying what the injury or issue was like every other team does, they gave the ambiguous "unfit to play" reason. That sounds more like age just caught up with him.

If the Oilers are up to shenanigans with Smith, Keith, and now Brown, then all the power to them. Hopefully the Flames can figure out something similar with Huberdeau and Kadri.
