I don’t have many problems with Switch controllers. I’ve had to replace them once in 4 years, but Nintendo did it for free so… hard to complain.

Actually happy about this, given Ubi's tradition of pushing out games before they're ready. Plus, what a beautiful Valentine's Day gift... I'll give my S.O. the good news of what to get me.

Really enjoying the new Zelda. Only an hour in but it's been great. Tried not to watch videos to spoil it but did see the echos and it had me worried, but it's a great mechanic so far.

The PS5 controller at least earns it's price tag by being the most advanced controller ever made, when games properly utilize the haptics it has it blows the Xbox and Switch controllers out of the water

I thought the original Joycons were pretty janky but my Switch Pro Controllers have been great and the Joycons on my OLED have been fine for 3 years now.

I turn off all that haptic crap, I don't want resistance on my triggers it doesn't feel natural to me but built in sound and mic are definitely a plus especially for games that utilize the sound properly. I've had issue with drift on nearly all of my PS4/5 controllers and friends find the same, besides my preference for how xbox controllers feel in my hands they seem far more sturdy and less issues but games being played also have an affect on controller drift. An example for me is a game like the NHL series, I find myself pushing harder on the stick trying to move faster even when its at its max position, also games that use L3/R3 for main functions like running seem to have more issues.

I recently bought both the Dual Sense Edge and Xbox Elite and I didn't love either of them with the Dual Sense being my least favorite but its to the point I went back to my standard Xbox One X controller as overall its size/weight/feel are just the best fit for me. My switch doesn't get nearly as much use as PC/PS5 and I use a pro controller for any game that is made for it so it makes sense that I have never had a drift issue on my day 1 switch.

Xbox Elite controllers are definitely the best made and best overall controllers but you are paying $$$ for it. IMO the PS5 controllers are a big upgrade over the PS4 controllers in battery life and there is a small handful of games that have done a great job utilizing the haptics and speaker. It's the first PS controller that I feel is on par with the Xbox controller for comfort, use, and build quality.

Wow, that's literally my favourite thing about the entire PS5 console.

The brilliance of GTA and especially 5, is that years later you can log in and find stuff that you've never seen before.

I literally spend an hour in that game sitting Michael's house, smoking drugs, slamming beer and watching Space Rangers.

Just completed Disco Elysium. What a wild ride that was.
I really had a hard time getting into it at first. It honestly took me a couple attempts until I realized I needed to play like I was a delusional drunkard with no self respect or dignity.

At one point my character danced naked in an abandoned church that I was trying to convert into an underground night club.

Truely one of the greatest games I have ever played.

I should warn you the game is a narrative driven rpg. Loads of text with smallish font, wonderfully written with outstanding voice acting.

You also don't need to go down every single dialogue tree. Once I figured that out, the pace of the game improved substantially and the chaos increased

Enjoy!

I love the Elite 2, but those things have massive quality control problems. They're better than the Elite 1, but both have been widely known to have significant problems and durability issues.

Anyone played TMNT Splintered Fate? Is it appropriate for like a 7 year old difficulty wise? We really liked shredders revenge. I know this is more rogue like than arcade though.

If they can handle the cycle of dying and slowly progressing, like in Hades, it should be fine.

Game looks cool though.

I just finished Detroit: Become Human, and I really enjoyed it. A very different gaming experience than anything I’ve ever played before. Was more like a playable movie than a game, but the story was really memorable, and the choices you make completely change the direction of the game. Very cool.

I really want to know exactly what the hell people are doing with these things to have the sort of durability issues they do. My OG Elite has lasted since launch and it just only recently started to show signs of the rubber on one side starting to come apart from the controller body. My Elite 2 is still without issue. I mean I'm not a hardcore gamer but I would think I'm probably somewhere around the 'average' player.
