Seems typical. Every time I have gone it has finished with an afternoon game. Aside from tradition I think they do it to allow the away team to get out of town before the next series.

Edit: And for a little extra excitement it creates a race to the border to get back into Canada that night. Lol.

It seems the series usually falls on a weekend with the last game being Saturday or Sunday. Given it was middle of the week and at the end of the season that was the reason I didn't go this year.

The way to go if you are coming from Vancouver is the Amtrak train. No border wait at all, drops you right next to the stadium and right back in downtown Vancouver. I've done that a few times for Seahawks games.

True. Over the last few years it seems to have moved around a lot more. But if I remember right I have been to more midweek games. I believe next year is a weekend in June. Part of me says they should stick to a mid summer weekend. But at the same time its going to be highly attended no matter what. So maybe its best to do off times. The fans might not like the Canada invasion, but Im sure the owners say F it and just enjoy the revenue.

The local businesses love it. Actual Mariners fans, not so much. There are precious few hardcore Mariners fans there though. Seahawks or bust.

I was just thinking, if you're a Mariners fan, this would be so... so... so annoying.

Pretty much. Seems like its gotten more and more blue. Im sure most Mariner fans have just decided its best to sell their tickets and stay away for these games.

They are basically used to an amazing stadium that is half empty and they can sit wherever they want and have wide open concourses. They get real agitated when they Jays are in town and fill up the stadium.
