So...
To Philly: Johnny Gaudreau + prospect?
To Cgy: Jakub Voracek + Shayne Gostisbehere + high end prospect
Not far off from the Gaudreau & Kylington for Frost, Voracek, and Myers I mentioned a couple months back. The difference is the addition of Gostisbehere's contract instead of Myers, so maybe they kick in a draft pick or eat another contract.
Gaudreau ($6.75M), Kylington ($800K), Lucic ($5.25M) for Frost ($863K), Voracek ($8.25M) and Gostisbehere ($4.5M) would work. $12.8M out and $13.63M in.
Tkachuk ($7M)-Monahan ($6.375)-Voracek ($8.25M)
Hall ($8M)-Frost ($863K)-Lindholm ($4.85)
Dube ($779K)-Backlund ($5.35M)-Mangipane ($2.5M)
Reider ($1M)-Bennett($2.5M)-Gawdin ($800K)
Phillips ($733K)
Hanifin ($4.95M)-Anderson ($4.55M)
Giordano ($6.75M)-Gostisbehere ($4.5M)
Valimaki ($895K)-Forbot ($2M)
Mackey ($925K)
Talbot ($4M)
Rittich ($2.75M)
$80.32M
Have to move Ryan for a pick, which I think is doable or possibly dump Backlund.

The Flyers would have to add at least 2 or 3 first round picks to make this reasonable. They don't have prospects that are anywhere near "high end" enough to justify a trade like this. Johnny is easily worth 2 firsts. Vorecek is easily worth a negative first.

Honestly, if we don’t get a clear win on this trade, I hope Tre doesn’t trade Johnny just for the sake of trading him.

Yikes, seems a little out of left field. Isn’t three first round picks the compensation for an offer sheet over 11 million? Johnny’s no 11 million dollar player.
What the hell though, right?
Gaudreau Kylington Lucic - Vorachek, Gostisbehere, Frost, 3 1st’s, a clone of 1994 Eric Lindros, and the restaurant that invented the Philly Cheesesteak.

He doesn't name his source (obviously), but he said it is someone who has a great relationship with many NHL GMs? I think something needs to happen with the Flames, but not sure we need a 30 year old winger. I'm intrigued about Ghost, because he looked really good a few season ago, but really tapered off. Thoughts?

For what reason on this green earth would Calgary do that? Lol, WE add a prospect?
Looks like purely doing the Flyers a rather massive favor, while paying no mind to the actual present needs of the Flames moving forward.
Hate rumors that clearly have that pro-one team angle claiming to be legitimate. Similar to our anchor + B player = A player proposals that we throw around wishfully from time to time.
Clearly no awareness of the other side or "giving up to get" at all.

For what it's worth (not much) Bob Stauffer out of Edmonton is said to have claimed Ekblad was available.

Yeah it seems like some think JG has some sort of massive value to other teams.
He has value but nothing extraordinary.
Offensively brilliant during less meaningful games at almost 7 million a year and likely going to want to make UFA in a couple years while being one dimensional, small and afraid of contact isn't something a ton of teams are clamoring for.

Philly doesn’t have any high end prospects. I would pass on trading with them. Can Johnny play RW? He seems dangerous on the right side. It would also increase the probability of him shooting so defenders can’t just play the pass all the time.....just a thought if offers suck.

Philly has plenty of high-end prospects. Unless your definition of high-end is Lafreniere, and that's it. Frost and York are seriously great.

Haha sillies, Johnny cannot play RW, how's he supposed to get off those short side shots from the side of the net!
Biggest gear grinder of Johnny right there.

Meanwhile from the right side, the 2 degree angle shots are less of the thing because he's shooting on the left side/inside. Look back to his most meaningful goal for the Flames vs the Ducks, scored from the right side.
His great runs for Team USA and the Eagles where he potted many meaningful goals that didn't have to come on shots from impossible angles. Why? Playing on the right side.
Again, why do we not play him there?
I just don't understand the minds behind this team sometimes.

Jimmy Hayes, who is Kevin Hayes' brother, who is buddies with Johnny. It was on a podcast. Hayes says johnny for Vorachek/Ghost/Prospect is picking up steam.

I just gave that Missin Curfew podcast a listen.
That’s Spittin Chicklet’s Gobots Edition.
They also went on about how Ottawa is sending Tkachuk + 3 to NYR for 1.
“E” is embarrassing himself on that podcast. Shane O’Brien also #%^*s on Hartley during it.
I don’t think there’s anything to this one at all.

He also said Ryan Donato is being traded to Nashville, and that NYR is trading the 1st overall pick to Ottawa for Brady Tkachuk and the 3rd overall pick.
On Gaudreau: "Johnny Hockey, you can leave your Canadian phone in Calgary and get on a plane and get your ass to Philly and go an play with my brother. I think Voracek, you might have to get your Euro, Canadian, and American phone back buddy."
Then Kevin Connolly asks: "That's just going to be a straight up swap?!"
Hayes: "I'm hearing Johnny Hockey and something else, I'm not sure what, to Philly for Voracek and Gostisbehere, but that's a lot of money for Calgary to be taking on so there's going to have to be a juicy prospect coming from Philly too."
So basically... Jimmy Hayes is a moron.

Maybe Philly offered that, but there is absolutely 0 chance Flames accept that. To entice the Flames, Philly would need to add Frost, and take Lucic's contract too.
