I'm looking forward to seeing him get pummeled on election night.
Trump's faithful are loud, but they are small in number. He will discover just how many were merely voting not for Hillary last time and have come to their senses in the time since.

They're suckers and losers today, but tremendous great big people tomorrow. Depends on which way the hair blows.
He probably thought it was sarcastic. Also what a great excuse to bail yourself out of anything you've ever said after the fact.

Really disappointing to see Bobby Orr do that - I was never much for heroes, but Bobby Orr was as close to that for me as anyone. My favourite player as a kid.
Which raises the issue of celebrities publicly endorsing candidates like this... it makes no sense to me. First, I don't care what your political leanings are - you aren't famous because you're a brilliant political mind. Second, the moment you do this, you alienate anyone who disagrees with your views. So, lots to lose and nothing to gain.

I was reading today about the fact that Florida allows for early votes and mail in ballots delivered early to be sorted and counted. With the massive amounts of early votes and mail in ballots dropped off already, I suspect you will be able to call Florida pretty early on election night.
IF it goes to Biden, and right now it's about a 50/50 chance, but if it goes to Biden, the whole thing is pretty much over. Trump cannot lose Florida and still have a decent chance at the electoral college. He'd have to gain a major surprise victory elsewhere, as well as run all the current battleground states.
So again, it comes down to Florida. Sorry everyone.
I'll say that it seems like good news that there is very high voter turnout so far, as that usually means good things for democrats. However, the latinx population here is surprisingly wary about voting for liberals due to most of them escaping countries where communism or socialism has ruined things there (Cuba, Venezuela). On the other hand, they also hate dictators, so if they are able to recognize that Trump is more of a dictator than Biden could ever dream of being, then they might not be willing to vote for Trump. Toss in the mistreatment of immigrants and you might have just enough to swing the election for Biden.
Honestly, I'd be looking very, very closely at how latinx people are voting in Florida. It may very well decide the entire country's fate.

Their goal is to influence their massive following. But often it lends to just how far they've fallen off the rocker. Talk about staining your legacy.

What do you mean nothing to gain? If Biden wins and jacks up taxes, these guys could be out hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Right. But very few people are open to having their minds changed politically. And those that are open-minded aren't usually the sort of people that will be swayed by the random opinion of a celebrity.
Like I said, you alienate a lot more people than you influence.

It's astonishing to me that despite how terrible Trump has been, that this isn't even being projected to be a top 10 landslide as far as American presidential elections go.
It's quite possible that Trump still gets more than 100 electoral votes if everything goes how expected.

True. This may just be another case study of the long term effects of concussions in hockey.

It wouldn't be a U.S. election without Florida f***ing everything up. I really hope you guys can flip it to blue this time. I'm sending all my positive vibes your way.

I'm surprised that people are surprised.
