That was lame.
It was way better in like NHL 2003 through 2008 when teams could decline trades but you could always still cheese a deal for a player that was rated 1-2 points higher than your guy.
Then you would make like 10 different trades, each one for just a slightly better player but in the end you would somehow turn Chris Clark into Joe Sakic.
