Has anyone seen the clips of Dakota Johnson doing her press run for Madame Web?
Of course the movie is getting destroyed, being called horrendous and she is not enjoying pushing this movie. She has that same dead, expressionless stare, mentions previously watching only 15 mins of any Marvel or superhero movies. Very disengaged, she might hate Madame Web more than anyone who has actually seen it.

As an Actress, she should probably engage her acting skills to act more enthusiastic about her own movie.
"I have a new movie out!!"
- "Should we all gather up the family and go see it?"
"Ehhh...I wouldn't."

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
No I made an account to buy tickets and I'm trying to hit the 100 post minimum. I love talking about movies and figured this is the fastest way to get there.
Shoot, I wish I had read this thread yesterday. You can always just use the Test forum to log posts.

I love her interview vibe. When she responds regarding the meme line about the amazon from the trailer "isn't any sentence out of context...out of context?". Hard to argue there.

I could've told you Madame Web would be garb based on that trailer.
Dakota is a good actress, it's a shame she's only hired for independent films and third tier Marvel character films these days.
I dont know anything about Dakota, but I could have told you the same.
I find it funny that there are people and organizations that are bending over backwards to make movies pandering to women and girls. Its really funny and my whenever my wife sees it she just rolls her eyes.
And I agree with her.
The premise of promoting women in positions of strength and power is good one but it seems as though the 'powers that be' kind of forgot one major element.
Women are not goddamned idiots.
They know when you're blowing smoke up their ass and rather than be inspired and proud they're insulted by it.
So movies like this tend to trip over their own feet because you're essentially assuming your target audience is a bunch of complete morons who cant see through your BS and then insulting them.
Their reaction is probably not going to go well.
I have a suggestion. Why not write and direct female characters...oh I dont know...like real human people??
Whats the best 'strong female character' of the last several years? I'd contend its 'Black Widow.' Not the movie necessarily, but the character. She was a normal, human woman who hung in with superheroes and was always going toe-to-toe.
She didnt need to be magical like Wanda or Wonder Woman. She wasnt treated as special or need to be protected by 'the boys.'
And she could go from 'badass bitch' to 'loving Aunt' at the drop of a hat.
But it'll take some doing to top the Ultimate 'Strong Female Character' of All-Time, whose award I continue to believe goes to Leia from Star Wars.
RIP Carrie.

Sarah Connor and Ripley will give her a run for best strong female lead
Matt Berry is a goddamned treasure. He needs to narrate nature documentaries or something.
Or if they make a documentary about that imploded submarine, just have Matt Berry narrate it.
I’d love to see that too. Have you seen him on Letters Live? People read actual correspondence in front of a live audience and Berry is, of course, one of the best at it.
