I think you're looking for something that isn't there, and reading way too much into things. It was a huge win for us, and we're cheering accordingly.

Im just saying that was all that was in this board when you lost to Americans. WHen the shoe is on the other foot you guys are a dominating force. Not that the other teams goaltenders the bed.
I respect the Canadians , they are the favorite to win the gold medal , no doubt. However You did get beat by the American, i just like to see respect given where its due.
If your gonna blame the Canadian loss on bad goaltending then you almost have to do the same for the Russian loss tonight. I understand homerism, I am here during the flames games too.... its the same story during those games!!!
I am rooting for a Canadian, American final. For this American team to be playing for gold and/or getting a silver medal is a huge feat for this young bunch. We both got one more game to play to meet each other. Good luck!

But the two games were different. Against the Americans we did run into an amazing goaltending performance by Miller. Canada actually played really well in that game. Where as, Canada completely dominated the Russians tonight.

Ice was asking why fans on here are Anti-American, well stupid comments like this by American fans certainly are part of the reason.

I LOVE THIS TEAM! Getzlaf and Perry both had amazing games. They created a lot of chances and made beauty plays to get tap in goals. I thought Brenden Morrow was awesome tonight as well. Did good defensively and cycled the puck and scored. On defense Shea Weber and Drew Doughty again were the best defenseman for Canada. Shea Weber is an absolute stud. Luongo made some nice saves as well. Absolute domination. If we play like that then nobody can beat us.
PS.........Didn't expect that onslaught so early. I thought we would win but didn't expect 6-1 early in the 2nd. Nabby let in a couple softies.
Great job Canada!

Did the russians outshoot Canada 2 to 1?
If they did you might have a point

Did you even watch that game? The only reason that Canada didn't destroy the US team like they did Russia was Miller stood on his head and Canada's forwards were snake-bitten. They outshot the US 18-3 int he third period. It's not arrogance, it's just that anyone knowledgeable hocley fan could see that the teams aren't even in the same league.
My prediction, Friday's game between Canada and Slovakia is the gold medal. Slovakia is the second best team in this tournament (ii've been saying this to my coworkers for about a week now). The winner of this game will be the gold medal champion. Mark my words, if Canada beats Slovakia (Slovakia can definitely beat them), Canada will absolutely trounce the US if they play them again. Not a good outcome for the NHL if their goal is to acquire more US fans.
