My best guess would be the Swiss Alps.

Keep in mind you have to FINISH in the final to get a medal. If there's a big crash you'll see guys hiking back up to make sure they don't miss a gate which means all kinds of pushing and elbowing. I'm not too sure if they've modified the rules, but when I was racing and you got interfered with and it affected you, you had to stop and put your arms up to protest it. If the protest wasn't successful you were eliminated.
It's pretty wide open when the heats go, because anything can happen. You can be in the top 2, get tangled up and crash, and all of a sudden the guy in last is in first. Kinda like short track speed skating, except big crashes are waaaaaaaay more common in snowboardcross.

Thanks.
Is it all done consecutively? Or do they have a break before the next set of heats after the first eliminations?

Men's Snowboard Cross is underway in 5 minutes. The link shows the 8 heats and where the Canadians will be.
Robertson has a good chance to medal in this. Go Canada!

Pretty sure there's a break after each round of eliminations, and they re-seed the riders based on qualifying times.

Wow, what a shame.
That has to drastically improve Canada's chances for a medal.

Wow Pullin (ranked 1st in qualifications) finishes 3rd in his heat and does not qualify to the next round.

After 3 heats, the only upset so far has been Pullin was eliminated. 5 of the other 6 had the fastest times in qualifications in their heats.

Two of the top four guys haven't qualified so far, hopefully the Canadian can make it through.
