After being up 1-0 and having some excellent chances, this feels like a loss. Raya's positioning for the United goal was suspect, but he saved Arsenal's ass afterwards. Bummer.

I approve of this scoreline. Nobody gains any ground.

Manchester United officially announced plans to leave Old Trafford, their home for more than 100 years, and move into a new stadium.

The proposal was unveiled on Tuesday and has been backed by former manager Sir Alex Ferguson. The proposed 100,000-seat arena would surpass Wembley as the biggest in the United Kingdom.

Will they call it 'New Trafford?'

Gonna be tough to fill that many seats with this level of play. They'll need to make sure the exits are enormous.

If they can pay for it themselves good on them.

But screw them if they are asking for tax dollars while clubs above them in the standings with more modest commercial bases like Palace are struggling to find internal financing for a single new stand and can't even get public funding for the Croydon bottleneck to improve local trains, with a much bigger impact than just football.

Always the richest guys who have the face like a robbers horse when it comes to putting their hand out

I have seen no information on how it's being paid for, so I can't comment on that.

But...I think United should have the cash, right? I mean...they've fired hundreds of people, maybe they'll re-hire them to lay concrete?

Looks like one trophy at best for Liverpool this year.

That FA Cup loss to Nowheresville United is certainly more significant given the events subsequent the past 12 days.

Pretty atrocious performance from Liverpool, total no show. Cool for Newcastle fans to finally break the drought.

Newcastle have played with more energy. I think chasing PSG around for 120 minutes midweek took its toll. It will be a learning experience for Slot to rotate players more throughout the year.

I hope Slot and Liverpool don't F up the Premier League. 9 games to go and 12 points ahead, 5 more wins can do it for sure

man that blows for Ayden Heaven ... he was having such an impressive start to his United career, and now he's off on a stretcher with a serious ankle/leg injury. We just can't have nice things right now ...

The league is done, and kind of doesn’t matter now, but surely that’s got to be it for Ange. I mean 15 losses in the league is just unacceptable. Sure, we’re still in Europa and theoretically we could win it, but it’s not realistic. Add to that, if we do win it we have to keep him and I think that’s a mistake.

Theoretically...you win Europa, you get a CL spot and then next season you're fighting in several competitions.

Its acknowledged that the squad is thin. Are more competitions really the solution? They'd have to spend some serious money to expand the squad.

And...all in all...I like that Angerball is about attack and offense, but...I mean, lets be honest...it doesnt appear to be working out all that well.

Well we concede the same way, over and over. I am not suggesting that I'm in any way qualified to manage a PL team, but I do know that when all the other teams that beat you do the same thing to make that happen that you should make some changes.

7 teams could be in the Champions League, 3 in Europa and the 11th placed team in Conference

Quote:
Liverpool, Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City need to Finnish top 4 (fairly reasonable prediction)

Newcastle qualify for the Champions League in fifth, with UEFA awarding an extra place for English clubs' performances in Europe this season. (Prem already have 5 CL spots in the bag, so this is another reasonable take, although teams placed 4-10 are so incredibly close that a final position is going to be very hard to predict)

Brighton & Hove Albion qualify for the Europa League by finishing 6th (pretty specific, but I guess this is reasonable)

AFC Bournemouth finish seventh and qualify for the Europa League by winning the FA Cup (ughhhhhh)

Chelsea finish eighth and qualify for the Europa League by winning the Conference League (can win conference, but dropping to 8th? yikes)

Aston Villa finish ninth and qualify for the Champions League by winning that competition this season (the crack pipe has officially burst)

Manchester United or Tottenham Hotspur finish 10th and qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League (k)

Then whoever in 11th, Brentord! will get into Conference League
