Future HoFer, Nathan Rourke, has been released by the Giants. Hard to blame them when they already have three bonafide stud QBs on the roster in Jones, Lock, and Tommy Cutlets.

It's kind of weird and feels gimmicky but as with all rule changes we will get used to it.

Onside kicks are practically a thing of the past which is unfortunate but on the positive side there will be a return on every kick now which is better than the almost guaranteed touchbacks that were commonplace

Yeah it's good for the average return, but sucks that it comes at the cost of onside kick
Attempts

lol I look forward to the weekly posts from Makarov saying Rourke is being held back by that league wide conspiracy.

The new returns are extremely weird, I need to see more of it. I may be wrong, but it almost feels like the chances of big returns/TDs will be higher if you find a hole, since everybody is bunched up together.

EDIT: And RE: Rourke, he's already been scooped up by the Falcons. Gross...

The Browns are floating the idea of building a dome stadium in the suburbs. Most fans including me are against it. We want the Browns downtown, and playing in the elements.

The Haslam Sports Group said they are still deciding between a renovation of Cleveland’s lakefront stadium and the construction of a new domed stadium in Brook Park.

For old school Neanderthals like me, I like a cold or wet game and watching teams fight the elements. But from a fan perspective...do I want to spend $300 to be cold and wet for 3 hours. Or sit in -30 at Arrowhead...

So I think this is becoming a reason for why more teams are going for an indoor stadium along with the potential to host a Superbowl. Younger fans and older ones prefer some comfort. Even player safety is starting to pop up from some on these colder games. By 2050 every stadium except maybe Lambeau likely has some type of shelter for fans. I'd also expect that 25 teams also replace their current stadium too claiming they won't survive without a new Shiney toy.

Preseason’s started did we make a new season thread? Meh. Anyway it’s already abundantly clear the following things are facts

Caleb - HOF
Daniels - franchise starter
Drake Maye - bust
JJ - bust
Boseph Nixon - franchise starter

Crazy stuff.

I'm liking it so far. I think it's going to be far safer for the returning player as the defending team isn't going to have a 30y running head start to murder you.

We've seen these QBs have a couple of drives against future insurance salesmen, do we really need to see any more to know what their future will be?

But Stetson Bennett, not actually a rookie but kind of, sort of one, really was the most impressive. Threw 4 INTs, but still had the guts to lead the winning drive at the end. He's gonna be fighting with Nathan Rourke for next GOAT after Brady and Mahomes.
