It still bugs me that the Riders knew they had a ticking time bomb in Garrett Marino and they still dressed him knowing how dangerous he was.

Reminds of Klay Thompson coming back from his ACL surgery and blowing his Achilles in practice and out for another year plus.
Thompson was younger, but the modern athlete is built different.
Might not be the end of the line for him but its going to be a tough rehab.

It's a real shame the way things have gone for him the last two seasons. You have to wonder if he's up for another year of rehab to get back on the field again. Ottawa pretty well has to move on from him and focus on finding the next guy.

The Calgary Stampeders have signed American receiver Jahleel Billingsley to their practice roster.
The six-foot-four, 230-pound target played three seasons for the Alabama Crimson Tide and made 37 receptions for 559 yards and six touchdowns over 36 games. He transferred to the University of Texas for his senior season in 2022 and made three catches for 38 yards in four games for the Longhorns.

I can't believe we are entering week 6 and the CFL still doesn't have working stats outside of some pdf samples. I just don't understand how this can happen in 2023. Randie Ambrosie is a special, special guy.

Apparently Ottawa has already called him according to TSN. It's not a Stamps kind of move to go after a veteran QB even though he's a major upgrade over Maier.

It's definitely a bit of a down season for offensive stats. Probably a good thing for guys like Maier who has some pretty horrific stats through four games.
