The staff that are the most innovative qualified and essential will already have 15 or 20 job offers on their linked in account, they will bail, Musk will be left with the Big Heads and Jimmy Yiang's of the company not the Gilfoyle's

I wonder what all of Musks comedian worshippers that proclaimed he was going to save Twitter from censorship think now that he's mandating that you proclaim you're making a joke before you post something or risk being banned permanently, think of this?

I should point out General Motors is valued at around 50 billion, a shade higher than Twitter and carries a payroll of 150,000 employees.
The idea that a payroll of 7500 on a 44-billion dollar company is part of the problem let alone the whole problem is utterly absurd

Spend 44 billion to show the entire world you're not remotely close to as smart as you want people to think you are. He could've saved 44 billion and put out a bunch of meltdown/stupid tweets instead without owning the company.
I'm here for it though. This is just the beginning. The total collapse is going to be epic.

Is there a way to short Twitter and Meta? I see these both going down the tubes.

Well you can just short Meta. Twitter being private doesn’t make it possible.
But wouldn’t it be great if Elon bought Facebook?

44 Billion is only the valuation because that's what he paid.
Whats that revenue? What's the earnings report say....
GM has 25x the revenue, ignoring the fact they are in completely different industries apples to apples Twitter would be sitting at around 6100 employees
(I do accept your argument that a company with 5.1B in revenue should usually be able to carry 7500 employees, I'm just saying your comparison is not valid).

Oh, I didn't think he took it private already. Interesting.
