Hopefully not. Hopefully the protestors realize this is over, and lost, and go home. Barring that, they can get arrested, I guess, but that's a waste of time and money for everyone.

So, the "CentreTown Helpers" has been relatively quiet during the police action. People are not going out unless they absolutely have to, so not much call for safety walks. One side said "Thank you vaccinated truckers" and the other side said "Thank you health care workers, essential workers, teachers and Zexi" (and that was before I even met her).

One other idea was to poster every pole downtown with positive messages. They have wallpapered the downtown with messages of hate and we need to reclaim it.

I am, along with a few hundred others, still thinking on what we can do. But I am a little giddy this morning that we will soon have a chance to take back our streets.

I saw this in Marda Loop, ironically just before the pandemic started. It would be an easy project.

Do none of these idiots see how ironic it is that they’re mad at the police response to this, when I guarantee you the same people wanted the police to use tear gas and riot squads against BLM? Or any climate change protest group? People can be mad about the police response all they want but the reality is they’ve mitigated violence for a long time here and now it’s go time. Get out of the way or you might get hurt and/or arrested. That’s the warning people get all the time if they plan to resist arrest.

I don’t want to hear one word from one of these white losers the next time Greenleace sets up on a highway.

I saw a livestream yesterday where people were getting pushed back by the police and the people at the front were screaming for the kids to get passed up to the front, but it never happened in that instance. I'm assuming someone thought better, or perhaps the police made it clear why that would be a terrible idea.

So there are reporters on the ground who are doing remarkable work. CTV has a great crew there. I hope they get awarded for their work. Proper access by the press is essential.

As time goes on and most of the protestors clear out, I'd imagine we will see more of this as the diehards are the only ones left.
