Union Berlin leap frogging Gladbach for 7th on a last second goal and getting European football in their second season in the Bundesliga is pretty wild too

Dresden & Rostock also coming up from Liga 3. Lots of northern derbies my Hamburgers next season!
Yes, HSV did it to me again this year...
yeah man, sorry they keep doing this to you. At this point, it's got to be purely a mental thing ... I mean, they were top of the table after the first half of the season and looked to be in control for most of the year. Then they completely imploded again in spring, unbelievable.

hope Bochum and Kiel go up today.
Those two are definitely the most deserving.
Personally, I feel that spending 41 of my almost 50 years on this earth cheering for the Calgary Flames has shaped me into a very resilient HSV supporter!

Bremen and Schalke joining Hamburg in league 2 ... bloody hell.
Ugh, finally able to put some words on Werder getting relegated yesterday. It was long coming, last year should have been a real wake up for the club, but they did not heed the warning. A combination of low talent players with a manager who had no clue how to play them. Relegated playing the most boring football possible is such a kick in the balls.
If Baumann is still there next year then I don't know how you can trust the club to do anything right. He has done nothing but shocking buys, I think Toprack and Bittencourt cost well over 20 million euros. The only positive of relegation is not spending another 15 million euros on Selke who managed to miss an open net yesterday from 7 yards out.
Back to Baumann, the arrogance on this loser, in his press conference today he said something about how they had 30 points after 24 games, and there is no guarantee a new coach would have done better. Well we finished with 31 points after 34 games, 1 point in the final 10. It would have been almost impossible for someone to do worse you dumb dummy!
Bah, so frustrated, such a needless relegation, sorry for the ranting, need to vent.

I don't get leaving Bayern for Madrid at this point for him
he gambled and lost. I think he actually wanted to stay there, but wanted to cash in with one more contract. Bayern wouldn't budge though, while Alabas father and agent both pushed for more money until Bayern had enough and pulled the plug. I think he doesn't want to leave at all, but it's reached a point of no return and now it's also a matter of pride.

I think it mostly is.
Bayern seemed to have a salary valuation for him and he disagreed.
He is also 28, so this is his peak and maybe they didnt want to up his wages?
Its similar to Wijnaldum...why would you want to go to Barca at this juncture? They are a post-apex team and if Messi gets his feathers ruffled and bails at any point they are immediately a mid-table club in a weak Spanish league and...they're also basically broke, so I dont know how they intend to pay him.
They also still owe Liverpool money for Coutinho and that might have to end up being settled in Court because they just dont have the cash and while Liverpool are sponsored by a Bank they are not one so when cash is due I imagine they expect to collect.
