If Richardson isn't hit with something for that on ice ground and pound, then the NHL isn't serious about protecting players.
At that point, if something happens between Ferland and Richardson, I hope Hartley says, you punish him, if he starts going down you pull him up and keep punishing.
Personally I want to hear some Canuck fan crying "Stop it he's already dead".
As for Bieksa, he's the ultimate guy in terms of picking his spots, he's not tough, he's no longer a great fighter, and he's hanging onto his career with his finger nails. I've never had any respect for him.
I want him to keep quipping like the moron he is.
But Richardson has to pay a price one way or the other, and with how popular Stajan is I think it comes especially if the Flames go up a few goals. I just don't want the Flames to focus on retribution.
Hartley shouldn't have to work to hard to get a physical game out of the Flames.
I really hope that Engelland gets a chance to line up a Sedin in the corner during a puck battle and puts him into row 10.
I'm sick of the Canucks, the biggest solace besides the fact that the Flames are going to eliminate them, is the cries of the Canucks as Benning has to gut that worthless underachieving core and go into an Oileresque rebuild.
And F Lack's dad, I hold nothing against him, but I'm sick of seeing his face on TV. We get it, he's a proud pappa, but its boring try to find another story.

The Refs have to direct traffic with the Linesmen and make sure that no mis matches occur. They failed when they had the Linesmen focus on the Flames that lead to basically two on one matchups, and on top of that the Ref had to do something about the Richardson situation and stood there staring at it like a dumb #######.
The Refs showed that they were way over their heads in an NHL playoff game and the Flames need to scream holy hell about it.
The NHL should be embarrassed by what happened, and seeing the video of Richardson spreading through the NHL is a slap in the face to the league.
Man I didn't think I was, but I'm still steaming about last night.

By the sounds of it the only potential fallout is an Engelland suspension.
If nobody gets suspended, I'm OK with that. Shake it off and get ready for game 3.
If Engelland gets suspended, and not a single thing happens to those dirty Canucks, I'm gonna raise some hell.

Ha, I don't know.
There is 10-minute misconduct for him on the scoresheet, but who knows if it was called at the time.
I didn't think he even got a penalty, since when it all started he got his own linesman.

I get why people don't like him and he seems about as bright as a sack of hammers, but Kassian is still a pretty decent player.

That wasn't the comparison though

Bikes a is a good fighter when he fights guys like Sam Gagner. He gets his ass handed to him when he can't run away fast enough from guys like Tom Kostopolous.
(Autocorrect changes his name to "Bikes a". I feel it's relevant to leave it that way).

I really want Ferland to run junior from the center ice line and flip him over 460 degree's so we can focus in on old man Lack crying.
Like I said, I'm just sick of the Lack thing, Hughson made an sbsolute a%% out of himself last night and so did the CBC.

That fight with Tom Kostopolus was a beauty, Bikes a thought he picked the right person to fight, but one punch and down he went, just beautiful!

Kypreos said in the 1st intermission of the Wings game he suspects the suspension to be rescinded but Hartley will be fined. I think that was more of an educated guess than anything FWIW.

If you ask me, Ferland is not something the Canucks were expecting and something the Flames need. I'm really happy to have him in the lineup. btw, I don't think his penalty in game one was a bad thing, it sent an early message and you could tell the Canucks were well aware every time he was on the ice.

Decision on Engelland instigator scenarios expected today. A potential suspension for Engelland and $10k fine for Hartley possible.

The Flames should roll up to the NHL office with a bathtub full of pennies, none wrapped.

I agree, the first penalty Ferland took chalked it up to be an inexperience penalty rather than stupid and selfish. I bet you Dorsett said to him "you wanna go, kid?" And when Ferland drop the gloves, Dorsett kept his on. Ferland will learn.

have them sit next to each other. I'd to see a fist fight between the two dads lol. but thats the only reason they should pan over to anyone's family in the stands more than once in a hockey game broadcast. that was embarrassing on CBCs part. completely over the top homer rubbish.

Loving the way Ferland is establishing himself as a PIA SOB to play against.
Between him, Bouma and some of the other prospects on their way up, this team is going to be tough to play against. Going to be plenty of "truculence" to support the skill.

I still dont understand...
for.....what.... there were two canucks trying to take him on!
..because he "instigated"? if that's suspendable then why isn't Subban and Hamhuis sitting out too?
