As for Peplinski's quote, is there any confirmation on whether the retros are being discontinued or kept?
We had previously been told they were gonzo, but if we end up wearing them again this year I could justify getting Monahan put onto my blank retro... otherwise it feels wrong to put his name on a jersey he won't wear.

Our national and provincial flags are not stupid.
I appreciate that the Flames are trying to promote ties to the city and province, but the execution of this has been far from ideal. This new third is not horrible, but it is not fantastic either. Still, I'll buy and wear this jersey over 29 other NHL teams!

As an aside, what do people think of still using the Atlanta logo for the 'A', and a regular 'C' for the captain?
It kind of looks off, but when they used a smaller Flaming C previously, it really didn't work either (see below). I like keeping the Atlanta logo, but it sort of feels like a no win situation.

The one is a 30 second photoshop creation, and the other is the jersey that the Flames spent years coming up with.
You'd think the Flames version would look better.

I like everything but the logo. Get rid of the wordmar and toss the flaming C in back or white on there instead and we got our new full time jersey. They did a great job cleaning up the piping.

The wordmark looks cheap. They should never replace the flaming c on the front of the jersey. It didn't work for the horse head and it doesn't work for this jersey. Keep the flaming c = keep tradition.
