Well, it's not so much that your warranty isn't voided, rather the responsibility for the hard drive part of it is moved off of Sony's plate and onto the hard drive manufacturer or retailer you bought the replacement drive from. Which is actually sort of a clever idea.
Don Mattrick, president of Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft, which covers the Xbox, is leaving the company, according to a report from All Things D. The executive is said to be heading to Zynga as CEO. This news comes from multiple sources familiar to the situation

D-bag guy joins D-bag company, a very fitting move

What a d-bag post.
In Mattrick's time at Microsoft, the 360's installed base has gone from 10 million to 76 million (XBL from 6 million to 48 million) and under his leadership, the IEB division has gone from an operating loss to a profitable business for Microsoft. Like him or not for the Xbox One decisions, he's good at what he does, and if he takes on a CEO role at Zynga, it'll be because of his track record.
So I got Fable 3 (meh so far for me but its free so I'm trying it lol) but where's Halo 3??? So far none of the games announced I have - Fable 3 / Halo 3 / AC 2

Already own Halo 3 and AC 2.
I'd be way more into Fable 3 if it didn't seem the primary method of advancing in the game is to SHAKE EVERYBODY'S BLOODY HAND OVER AND OVER AND OVER.
Ahem. And he does it in a really creepy way too. "Mmmm oh yes ahaha, oh hello yes".

So, I was among those who misinterpreted as Halo 3 or AC 2 would likely be one for the first games given away. Instead, the game released for free is some tower defence game: http://ca.ign.com/articles/2013/07/0...e-on-xbox-live
And you have to download it before July 16, when the offer expires.
So all Microsoft is offering are games several years old or budget Xbox Live games no one has heard of. Yet Sony is offering several triple-A titles at a time, some of which were released less than a year ago, and offering huge discounts for very recent titles that are even cheaper than Steam sales
Microsoft is not very good at this digital distribution thing and convincing people to buy in

Steve Ballmer is going to be taking over the Xbox division directly following the departure of Don Mattrick. Not sure if that'll be good given how Windows Vista, 8, Mobile and Bing were handled http://www.geek.com/games/steve-ball...chief-1560846/

God I hope this means next years E3 will be a sweaty, screaming mess.

As someone who has been a Live Gold subscriber for the past couple years and just bought a PS3, it's a joke comparing them. PS+ with it's free games is so much better than Live Gold. Getting Uncharted 3 for free ($35+ in store) almost covers the cost of the service for a year. Now I can get Battlefield 3 for free (2011 release) and sometime in the coming months I can get Halo 3 for free (2007 release). If this is any indication of the future of these two services I don't see much of a reason to stick with Microsoft.

I might be grasping at straws.. but Microsoft has yet to loose your credit card information to a Hacker because of crappy encryption?
