I'm not sure... I have mine set so that the CPU can play my games and it hasn't done anything crazy... yet. I was able to call up Aucoin to my team no problem, haven't had any issues yet. Who knows right now, that is weird though.

Maybe people should post asking if they can claim a guy before doing so. I'm not sure why a guy like vernier would be claimed as obviously it's a mistake.

I hope we end up in a user vs user based situation. The only way you're going to get better is play. I am average at best, but I take my losses as learning experiences. I gave yet to be blown out and usually I do something dumb that costs me. Case in point, I just played Koop. Dude is a beast with the puck and was dominating. So I adjusted and actually took a lead. He promptly got it back but we were headed to the 3rd with him up 3-2, but I tried a risky up the middle pass with my goalie like a dumbass and he buried it with 6 seconds left. I score what should have been the tying goal halfway through the 3rd and he iced it late with one more.

That being said, I know I can compete with him now, and have a startegy against similar players. I can also tell you that Koop doesn't like hardcore passing, or maybe even passing in general, lol

Like I said textplus today, I will not play the AI again, and unless I am away I will make sure I'm available to play all of my games. If I am away, I have a strong preference that the games be simmed, but if my opponent insists I will allow them to play my AI

As for the playing vs. simming debate, I'm all for simming. I don't play my games because I'm not very good... I will lose and my team will look like crap because I'm not good at playing the games. But if I sim or let the honestly pretty good computer play, I get a better indication of my actual team. Some of it is just unrealistic right now. Look at the top scorers... all guys from Ottawa with super inflated point values cause the Ottawa guy is good at the game and running up the score against people who aren't. Not really a realistic GM experience. There's a billion other modes to actually play the game in, I thought this one was more for the simulation experience.

How does that give you a better indication of your team? Most players here can't compete with the hardcore AI, thus making your team appear better than it is. The fun of this mode for me comes from managing my own team and then using that team against real opponents. I don't think it's very fair to sim all your games if you are available to play them. Just my two cents.

can somebody who loves doing this post what players are on waivers? i don't think we can see who the CPU put on waivers unless we know which player is missing?

CPU just put another 4 star potential guy on waivers, who got claimed. What can I do to make the CPU stop, anyone know?

Does this only happen when you choose to use the "Best Lines"? Or is it more or less random when the CPU does this?

It seems like it happens when Best lines OR if you have your AI set to CPU?

If Ottawa waived anyone, its random, as I have done none of the above.

No I haven't used best lines at all. The CPU has put about 4 of my players on waiver so far.

I figured it was an error when I saw him on there. Most of the guys I've seen on waivers i figured were errors, such as Palushaj, Kindl, Bernier, Greening etc.

Yea luckily enough, some guys are willing to give them back. I don't think I'm getting greening back though. Palushaj is supposed to go to Russic. It seems like this new GM Brain doesn't want me to be a competitor in this league

why wouldn't people give them back?....also maybe it is best lines only? i've never used best lines AFAIK though i dunno if i put anybody on waivers other than hanson

also we should definitely post real waived players when we waive them.....there are like 10 new ones and it sounds like half or more are CPU automated drops

CPU will best line whenever someone plays your cpu, and it will waive players to do so.

This would make sense as some guys haven't responded when I've asked them when they want to play or been online and the games end up getting simmed.

And a lot of less skilled players can't compete with the high skilled players, making them seem better than they are.

Totally simming is really the only fair way to do it, if you're looking at a purely "building a team and seeing how they do" stand point.

The only person that hasn't responded is Slobodan but I just checked out his CP profile and he hasn't been online in a while. I'll have to look at his PSN and message him tomorrow and see if he's willing to sort something out.
