The worst non-call of all was the Manu travel anyways.
10 years from now this will be remembered as LeBron's 2nd championship long term him winning will easily trump any BS Spurs threw it away sentiments from bitter haters.

No, i dont think so.
The Heat are Generally easily disliked, and this is the last of the Stern era championships. Stern will always have the conspiracy allegations d og his time and legacy by the conspiracy theorists.
Non Heat fans, which i think are the majority, will frame this as something other than a Heat triumph, even 10 years from now.

The only really badly called game people still remember is the 2002 Lakers and Kings Game. 10 years from now, people will remember Ray Allen's "the shot", Miller's shoeless 3 point shot and Lebron's last 2 pointer in Game 7. All these Manu travel or non call will be forgotten.

Reading that Cleveland is rumored to be thinking of taking Alex Len with the 1st pick on Thursday? Also hearing Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Vitaly Potapenko for that top pick. I don't like Alex Len as IMO another year at school would have been good for him, mind you its a very weak draft class.
To be quite frank, Anthony Bennett is really only one of the players I truly love in these weak draft. That kid is very talented and has superstar written all over him.

The fact that Luol Deng is apparently worth the #3 overall pick (as rumours of a Bulls-Wizards trade suggest) in this draft speaks to how weak it is. Next year could have 5 franchise guys in the top 5. Next year is going to be a tankapalooza in the NBA, could see 5-10 teams throwing their seasons away.

Well considering he has a chance of going #1 in this draft and no chance next year I can't really agree that another year would've been good for him. He can still develop in the NBA or D-League.
I'd still value #3 over Deng. Really good chance that Porter and Bennett are waiting there. I like them both a lot.

Ahh crap...I now feel sorry for the Lakers. What an embarassement for such a proud franchise to go the Cavaliers route to try and keep Dwight. Jerry Buss is rolling in his grave

The Brooklyn Nets are finalizing a trade with the Boston Celtics to acquire future Hall of Famers Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
The deal is pending Garnett waiving his no-trade clause. The Celtics believe that sending Garnett with Pierce to a contender in a big market could convince Garnett to waive the no-trade clause, sources said.
The hope is Garnett would be swayed by the chance to join his close friend, Pierce, in Brooklyn where they could play for longtime rival Jason Kidd.
The trade can't be made official until July 10, but the teams are pushing for an agreement Thursday night.
The deal centers around a package that would include Gerald Wallace, Tornike Shengelia, the expiring deal of Kris Humphries and three future first-round picks (2014, '16 and '18), sources told Y! Sports.
Jason Terry also will be in the package going to the Nets, sources said. The Nets would send back Reggie Evans and do a sign-and-trade involving Keith Bogans and one more minimum-level player as part of package, a source said.
For the Celtics, the chance to clear cap space and gain multiple future draft picks to start the franchise's rebuilding process would be the lure.
The Celtics discussed the possibility of packaging Garnett and Pierce with a Western Conference team, a source said, but there was no traction. Very few teams, if any, would have the inclination to trade three draft picks for a short-term run with two aging stars.

The Nets are trading their future for immediate success. 3 1st round picks are steep for two stars on the decline. If the Nets don't win in the next 2 years, they are the big loser in this deal. Even with KG, Pierce, D Will and Lopez, can they get through the Heat?
I just don't buy in a player like Kidd becoming coach days after his retirement. My gut feeling tells me the Nets could be last year's Lakers in the making with this deal.

Terrible trade for both teams, though at least for Boston now they're on the Andrew Wiggins train for sure. Nets are a mess, like the Redskins in the early Dan Snyder days, just throwing money around and getting big names and hoping something sticks.
Fans giving Stern a nice sendoff at the Draft.

Don't know much about these guys, but is this a good pick for #1 or is it a reach?

WTF? Adrian Wojnarowski reported just this afternoon Anthony Bennett was slipping and could have fallen to 10th.

Its a reach but not really. They probably could have traded down and got him at 4 or 5 but its a weak draft and no one wanted to trade with them. Big upside on him though.

Well I gotta give it up to Stern for egging the fans on with "I can`t here you" as they boo him.

I think there is a strong possibility the best player in this draft gets picked in the 7-15 range. Such a weak draft.

Philadelphia sends Jrue Holiday and the 42nd pick to New Orleans for Nerlens Noel and a 2014 1st round pick. The 2014 pick going to New Orleans has "light protection.

Not many had him as the best player in the draft but at the same time the consensus was that there really was no elite level guy in the draft so anyone of 5-6 guys could go #1 without it being a crazy selection.
Good to see that having scum bags represent you and skipping out on workouts helped Nerlens Noel get that top pick. If half the stories about the way he has acted since the NCAA season was over are true I hope he has a very short and non-lucrative career.
