Just take it to the post office. Tell them it's for telus.

Yes, but it's a bit of a disappointment for me. Only SD channels, and no ability to pause/rewind when in multiview. Plus, setting up multiview is too cumbersome for me to want to use it.

Do you live in an area with 3hd and 2sd?

I have 2hd and 1sd so I couldn't get 4 hd at the same time. I assume that's why it wouldn't work for me.

Hopefully these, or most of these, are on the best of HD package.

Unfortunately, what good are HD recordings if they are corrupted half the time? Has anyone else been having problems with corrupted recordings? Lately a lot of my 1 hour recordings are starting at around the 32 minute mark, without being able to go back before that time. It has happened at least 3 times now. In the past, I had a lot of recordings that falsely showed as only 1 minute, and if u tried to skip ahead, it would start over, but that problem went away. Telus's lame attempt at making DVR users watch commercials? Honest to god, I've never had so much frustration from a cable box! #### me!

Ya, TELUS wants everyone to watch commercials

Seriously tho, it sounds like you have a faulty 430. Best to call in a trouble and have it swapped out.

I know, #######s! Cogeco in Ontario is even charging a monthly "DVR Premium" now in addition to rental fees, shh don't tell telus! Darn those faulty 430s! We'll see if it happens again, I may have to do that. Also, do you know if telus is giving out free secondary optik boxes to existing customers who only have the main box. I've been using my xbox and it's pretty much OK, but it has that stupid overheating issue and on any day above 20 degrees, after a couple hours the digital signal starts getting messed.

I think a 330 is $5/mth to rent. Although I have seen them for sale in Costco. They could just delete your xbox and use a regular box.

Now you can control your Optik STB with your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch.

I need to put a tech support into Telus tonight. I have 2HD and 1SD...and when 2HD are recording at the same time my internet, wired and wireless, is completely useless. As soon as the shows are done recording my internet is fine. Even if it is just 1 show recording it is fine. Anyone else experiencing this lately?

Returned our Optik TV and back with shaw. Shows didn't record properly, internet was the pits (cut out every 10 minutes for 3-4 minutes and came back on). Second unit didn't work upstairs. After several tech calls, a host of visits to the house, the tech guys threw their hands in the air and didn't know what the problem was.

It's too bad, because I liked it, it just didn't work all the time and that's not good enough.
