Highway 1 between Cochrane exit and Canmore was brutal today - slick like ice, especially bad around Dead Man's Flats. Visibility brutal.

A reminder to drivers. Please remember to TURN YOUR FATAING HEADLIGHTS ON! Your DRL do not turn on taillights. If you can't see the car in front of you, it means they don't have their taillights on. Check to make sure yours are on.

No blizzard in Calgary as the snow is barely even accumulating on the ground.

It certainly is in Varsity. Aren’t you at the airport?

I don’t think ground accumulation of snow is what makes it considered a blizzard or not, but it is pretty mild.

I was hoping we were done with the white stuff. A fool's hope, perhaps.

hmmm there is a lot of accumulation on the ground out south. It's gorgeous though. My daughter and I just shoveled and went for a walk after. So nice out there.

No, but generally a blizzard has a good amount of snow which results in a decent amount of accumulation. Regardless, the conditions are not resulting in a blizzard.

The last three days were one of the seven false springs. Probably the third one.

First one was early february when it was 12 above.

That was probably false spring #2.

The good thing is the sun is high enough now that the new snow won't stay on the ground for more than a day or two.

Unless it's blended with Oreo pieces it's not a blizzard.

Glenmore was basically a frictionless roller-coaster this morning. So that was fun.

Sorry guys, this was all my fault. I put the insurance back on the summer car yesterday, and took it for a short drive around downtown and the Beltline for lunch and to run errands.
