I'm still on the fence regarding Vladar. I want to keep him this year, and hopefully give him more starts, while giving Wolf another season in the AHL with some call-ups, but I can't imagine how management feels.

Right. It isn’t coincidence that both goalies’ sv% cratered. They didn’t both coincidentally get crappy.
It was the team play, Sutter wanting them checking on the boards, and losing those battles exposed the goalies to grade A chances

I would be happy with that situation but I would sure miss watching Tanev play defense in a Flames jersey.

I wouldn't take it in a bad way regarding Kylington wanting to wait a bit. I don't even know how you measure his worth at this point. He hasn't played in a year and is probably betting on himself to have a big year.

The team has way too many question marks around it right now to deal with then to re sign Zadorov right at this moment. He's probably not even in the top 5 of priorities. And hometown discount based on what, the career year he just had in goals? Hes going to want more than the $3.75M he's making now. They have no idea what the roster is going to look like in a year.

A player at his level should go for every penny he can get. He's shown enough that he doesn't have to take a discount to just stay in the league.

I mean…. Pretty much no players are going to take a discount. Especially a year earlier than they need to sign. We fixate on this being a Calgary “problem”, but it isn’t.
