At this point, it would certainly be best if either the Mariners or Rangers completely swept the games against each other. It would give the Jays a bit of breathing room during a fairly tough remaining schedule and let them slot in for the 3rd spot to play against the Twins.

As much as I feel like I have been hate watching this team lately. I sure am bummed that there's no game on tonight. Now that we're down to the final 2 weeks. It's really starting to feel like playoff baseball. At least all the teams they're competing against are playing tonight. So something to keep an eye on.

NYY, TB. NYY, TB to finish the season
Tampa will be motivated to try and take 1st in the division and AL and the Yankees will be motivated to stay over .500 and stay above the Bosox.
Cant have any passengers.

I'm hoping the Os go on a run. If Tampa is mathematically not catching them by the final series I think they might rest guys the last couple of games so they're fresh for the wild card round.
If they pass them for the division lead they'll get a big break and will probably play everyone to keep them fresh, and obviously if it's still up for grabs they'll be motivated.

Tampas E# on mlb.com is 11 so they have to lose 11 games right now to be mathematically out of 1st. Obviously, with every O's win or TB loss that number goes down by 1. Be interesting to watch it.

Yeah, I think it's likely to only be the last game or two where this applies.
Of course, if the Jays swept them the first series that would help things along...

And being spoilers against a rival. Like the year the Flames who were already eliminated knocked the Oilers out of playoff contention at the end of the season.

And O’s with a 3 run shot in top of 9 to go 1 up on Astros.

Since going 9 for 17 against the Jays, Seagar is 1 for 15.

Actually almost makes it more frustrating they couldn't get at least 1 from the Rangers.
