Hurriedly finishing off a season in my Madden 24 franchise before switching gears to College FB 25, I played them within minutes of each other. It's actually quite a bit different, more than I expected.
College gameplay feels more sped up, and the default camera angle zoomed out more, which will take getting used to. Plus, mastering all the nuance of the new RPO system. Kicking is totally different too.
Think I need to shelve it until I finish off the last couple games / playoffs of my Madden season first, too confusing bouncing back & forth with all the differences. Seems cool though, they nailed the game-day experience.
Yeah its so weird. I'm finally on to College Football 25, I'm not even messing around with games yet. Doing all the mini-games first to get all that nuance down, I'm surprised how different it is from Madden (lots of crossover for sure, but the gameplay/speed/visuals are a lot different).
EDIT: Starting to get the hang of kicking/punting, I actually like how it reflects the wild ride that is those positions at the college level. But yeah, what evil bastege designed the kicking in this game??
Warhammer Rogue Trader looks good. Happened to come across a code (RT19) that works on Gamebillet and it just came in around $27 CDN. Seems like well worth it.
It does look interesting, but I am a bit wary of games that seem to be a bit more predatory with DLC. Paradox and Warhammer games seem to fall into this category sometimes...Not against paying for a quality game and quality DLC's, but some developers/companies seem to really try and maximize their revenue this way and slowly drip out high priced DLC constantly.
The work will teach you. Start playing and accept your mistakes as growth just like the Buddha suggests.
Haha I would, but I don't think the polls will appreciate my spiritual journey when I've gotten Notre Dame off to a 1-4 start to the season, and my 5 star recruits bail over it. THERE'S TOO MUCH TO LOSE!!!
New Season of Path of Exile (Settlers of Kalguur) coming out looks amazing. Build your own settlement over time (Kingsmarch) and eventually automate a lot of things you'd normally have to do yourself (including hiring people to run your maps for you). Added gold as a drop so you can hire workers and buy skill resets.
In game currency trade (between players), completely revamped melee and removal of a class in favour of another, and much much more.
Finally noticed Jedi Survivor was on game pass, what a phenomenal game. I thought the first one was good and this one turned it up to 11.
They fixed a lot of what sucked about the first one. Mainly no fast travel and the awful, awful linear and confusing maps. Although Survivor still had a few warts, it was overall a much more enjoyable experience.
Still, seems like it's not a great time right now.
It's depressing seeing what seems like weekly posts on LinkedIn from my connections on LinkedIn about another round of layoffs. And it just adds even more competition for people like me trying to get in.

I can't wait.
Looking like it could be the best league so far, can't wait to research builds all week just to change last second to a build that sucks, lol.
