Draisaitl is good clickbait..... and he's walked right into it. That's on him.

LOL.....subtly is an art
It took maybe a calender year longer than expected, but the selfish Kane that's worn out his welcome everywhere, seems to be hurdling towards his usual MO of tearing up the already dysfunctional dressing room.

His lack of production will be in his eyes, because of a lack of playing time (he laid that seed in the interview) and soon enough, especially if they keep losing, and or if he doesn't get significantly more time with McD out, he'll start to say he's being "disrespected"and will spiral quickly from there publicly.

Four days ago, fluff piece on Kane from Spector: https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article...l-with-oilers/

Quote:
Finally settled — in hockey and life — Kane in for the long haul with Oilers

There has always been drama in Evander Kane’s life. Unnecessary drama, and almost always of his own making.

Accusations. Bankruptcy. Whatever it was that happened in San Jose.

But today, domesticized and a father of three at age 32, it appears that Kane has found peace. Managed to get out of his own way, finally.

As he begins his third season in Edmonton, and the second year of a four-year, $20.5 million deal, it appears as if the Oilers got the player that Atlanta drafted. That Buffalo traded for, that San Jose signed.

The player is here, the distractions are gone.

It would be wonderful if they did this and Andersson get's the game winning goal.

Yup, you can clearly tell that he's miserable there. McDavid too. I predict Drai will end up in either LA, Vegas, or Tampa/Florida.

McLotteryball will go to Toronto or NY.

Kane is always someone who starts with a new team hot and seems to fizzle over time. It’s happened on every city before Edmonton. He’s also not a younger player anymore.

Only 3 more years at $5MM+…… where are all the Coil fans claiming he took a discount. It’s the only offer with term he was given.

I’m not sure who they were bidding against. Four years felt unnecessary.

The best part was the "thank you Edmonton" letter he posted a couple days before which made it obvious he had no intention of re-signing with the Oilers.

Poor guy once he realizes the Oilers have a better shot at 1sf overall than the playoffs without McDavid.

Could Kane be put on unconditional waivers for the purpose of buyout?

Would that open cap space for the Oilers?

I, for one, hope that McDavid doesn't stay out for long. I don't think Edmonton is good enough to win a cup with him in the lineup, and i don't want Edmonton to ruin another lottery pick's career.
