I don’t know if pulling some incel quote from twitter really helps make the case that this is just cancel culture.
The response to people over-using the word “pedophile” is probably not to brush off the reaction to a 35 year old man sexting a minor as “cancel culture.”
I don’t know. Maybe it’s just that wacky western culture where we protect kids for a reason.

Why not just wait for all of the facts to come out before executing the guy on social media though is al i'm saying? Because you don't get views that way. Also i'm referring to others like Leonardo DiCaprio that may be doing something morally objectionable to some but still facing the same labels even though nothing he has done is illegal. Anyway lets not muddy the games thread over a streamer if we have more to say we should move it to another thread.

This crossed my feed the other day, and I was curious about it. I've heard of Dr.Disrespect before, but I don't watch streamers. I remembered the fuss about it 4 years ago when it all blew up and he 'lost' his Twitch deal.
The part about all of this that I don't understand is...if he did illegal things, why were there no legal consequences? Why did none of it leak out. Why did he take Twitch to court to sue for Breach of Contract when he'd have to admit what he did...and why did he WIN his court battle and get his full contract payout from Twitch?
The only answers I can come up with is that whatever he did was questionable but not illegal and Twitch acted 'too fast' in terminating his contract. I wonder if we'll ever fully know.

You can terminate contracts without criminality.
Sorry, just to add to this.
Twitch can terminate a contract for a variety of reasons, depending on what is in the contract and its interpretation. Typically, there are clauses in contracts that will allow for early termination if you do something that damages the reputation of Twitch. That is likely why they terminated. Dr. D sued them for breach of contract, again something he can do.
You are assuming that he would have to admit to what he did in a breach of contract case. That isnt true at all. Twitch would likely have to prove the reasons for the breach - the onus is on Twitch, not Dr. D. Moreover, the onus is on Twitch to prove the breach, not the alleged actions were done.
Without getting into motive, it is likely that Dr. D sued to garner a settlement of some sort. Many people sue with the intent of never seeing a court room or having their information publicly released.
Finally, he didnt "win" his case. The case was settled out of court and on a confidential basis. Both sides stated: Dr Disrespect and Twitch have resolved their legal dispute. No party admits to any wrongdoing." thats standard. What isn't reflected in here is that the terms of the settlement were not disclosed. That settlement could easily be between $0.00 and $1 trillion. You will never know. What we do know is he has not been back on Twitch.
Very cool, 60fps @ 900p pretty impressive for tech from 2017. Getting hard Halo vibes here, that "Space Pirate" looks so much like an elite it is uncanny.
2025? Better late than never I guess. You’re just delaying getting my money Nintendo.

"100%PC

Took me 4 years, but i finally finished Disco Elysium, one of the best RPGs that i had the opportunity of ever playing. I treated the game like a big book of 1 million words, like a pile of Game of Throne books, and allowed myself to get lost in this massive and political world. 10/10"
So you are willing to pay me $0.05/Hr thats awful generous of you
Disco Elysium is amazing. I don’t feel a strong desire to play through it again, though I know there’s a number of branches and endings I probably haven’t come close to discovering, but I just really enjoyed the story I ended up in and left completely satisfied.
Just finished Inscryption. I knew nothing about this game before playing it and man it was a trip, probably one of the most unique games ever made. I would suggest if the description and screenshots on steam look at all interesting to you, grab it, but don't do anymore reading than that
I totally forgot about this and didn't see until the day after. Probably a good thing but I still have a few NES titles to pick up for my collection. The longer I wait the more they cost.
Do you know how many vendors usually set up shop at this?
I'd estimate there were 60-75 vendors. This was my third trip to the rodeo, and this time was a major improvement over Eau Claire. It was better organized, had easier access with improved parking options (people really don't like going downtown), and the marketing and promotion, along with the subsequent traffic, were significantly better. I had sold all my outrageously priced good stuff that I wouldn't have been sad if it didn't move by 11:00 a.m.!
