CGY giving pucks away in the defensive zone when they have it on their sticks is getting pretty old. It's unbelievable how much they have done it.

Won the period, but wish they'd have choked them out. Don't know why we play to eke out the 1 goal lead. Push for that cushion.
We let them off easy when we didn't have to.
That said, excited for OT.

Such a strong period and then WPG pulls the goalie and the Flames play like they're paralyzed in fear. So strange.
I agree that was brutally stupid not to call a timeout after the icing. If not then, when do you plan to use it? So stupid.

I’ve read a couple of other posters mention the same thing, but Tkachuk needs to cut the junior hockey plays out. So many times he could make a more straightforward play and goes between his legs.
Also Backlund needs to get the lead out - he’s played very badly.

This team is still finding ways to lose games. They need it drilled into them to make the smart and simple play. Stop reversing the flow and just get the puck out of the zone.

Flames were entirely too cute in their own zone at the end. Stronger on the puck and beter decisions and they win in regulation. That’s disappointing.
