Let's be honest, the league was never happening anyway.

well they desperately want top 4, I think that's obvious. They'll never reach top 4 again with Mourinho, I think that's obvious as well.
they'll just have to bite the bullet and move on. It's also a different situation in comparison to LVG because it was a snail race to top 4 back then. Despite all their flaws, United could (or should!) have made it over Pellegrinis City ... this time, top 4 will be impossible. City and Liverpool are in another league, Chelsea and Spurs are decent and I wouldn't completely rule out Arsenal either.

The missing component to trigger an immediate Locke reaction would be Dele Alli doing the dive.

I actually love what they did this summer, but still - for a club like United there's just no reason to come in with an underdog mentality here.

Thats just boilerplate Mourinho tactics.

Trying to sleep! And focusing on the Liverpool match.
Just another day in the life of Spurs. It would be nice if they channel their inner Spurs and still manage to find a way to lose.

Man, Spurs had better win something before they institute VAR or they are really screwed. Alli will get drummed out of the league and Kane will become a plumber.

Just checking out some of the highlights from the United/West Ham match.
Wow...you'd have been hard-pressed to get your tactics more wrong.
Did Mourinho let one of his kids draw that up?

This has been an amazing match. I thought Chelsea were going to slump a bit but Sarri has them playing really well.
Its been really back and forth, I think Liverpool have a few more gears to hit yet though, you can see that the front 3 really arent clicking yet and Salah has been a little off.

That's gotta be the goal of the season so far, what a way to get 50 goals for Liverpool.

A draw was fair there, plenty of chances for both sides. Really good game to watch.

That was the match of the season so far right there. What a game!
I was steeling myself to lose and figured: hey, a 1-0 loss away at Chelsea from a good Hazard goal isnt the worst.
Even then though the game was well played.
Should Liverpool have won? Sure, two shots cleared off the line, a couple great saves, a few missed chances, etc, but thats all fair game, we wouldnt have to feel cheated for a bad penalty or a refereeing mistake it was all fairly played.
But that Sturridge wondergoal! What a way to come off the bench!
Chelsea played a really good game, that Sarri-ball works incredibly well.
I'll take the point away at Chelsea and move along.

Never change Jose....never change.
Quote:
Jose Mourinho said his change of formation for Manchester United's 3-1 defeat at West Ham was down to Anthony Martial's lack of defensive discipline.
Mourinho dropped Alexis Sanchez from the squad at the London Stadium to include the France forward in his team but said he had to switch from a back four to a back three -- with Scott McTominay at centre-back -- to accommodate him.
"I want to play Martial, something that you [the media] are asking for a long, long, long time," Mourinho told a news conference. "I left Alexis out and I think Martial is not a player very, very focused on his defensive duties.

Alexis has been horrible for united, if mourinho wasnt in a battle with pogba and martial that would be a much bigger story

would be ironic if Mourinho was sacked after the 8th league game tomorrow, considering that the 8th game last year was the beginning of the end. From Redcafe:
Uniteds first 7 games last year:
P7 W6 D1 L0 GF21 GA2 PTS19
Points per game: 2.71
Goals per game: 3
Goals conceded per game: 0.29
in the 38 games since:
P38 W22 D7 L10 GF57 GA40 PTS63
Points per game: 1.66
Goals per game: 1.50
Goals conceded per game: 1.05

It does begin to sound as though Mourinho is on a fairly short leash.
Doesnt he have 3 more years on that massive contract though? And hes certainly not doing himself any favours concerning getting another job.
I really hope they keep him though, so much drama!
