You've got a team down by two of their better defensemen, a crappy rookie goalie. A rookie forward that's done nothing at all so far.

Yeah, they're just going to keep playing like little turds in important games under gulutzan, I feel.
He can't motivate them to come back in games (they never tie with the EN any more) and he can't get them up for games against the oilers, of all teams. It's goddamn pathetic.
We owned them before this bench staff cams in. So obviously the ability is there in the players.

In games like this, against the oilers, I expect Tkachuk to be a major storyline. We're missing the grit boost he gives the team.

The way the Flames is playing tonight, it might be better to sit out Mike Smith and put Riitich. He's done everything he can but his teammates is not helping. Just rest him for the rest of the night. Maybe it will wake up the whole team.

One silver lining from tonight - 4th line looking better. Hathaway may be a good fit. Could be a match-up issue though. Dunno. They didn't look so good against Phoenix. Horrible puck angles taken by the players tonight. Put that with lack of effort. 5-1. If not for a shorty, could be even worse. Embarrassing
