Apparently I got one off Amazon. I'll wait to see it ship before I believe that though.
Hilariously I'm on the fence about keeping it now.
Did you end up getting it? I'll take it off your hands if you're still unsure, ha.
I'm not really a video game guy anymore, but the SNES classic sounds pretty great. Super Mario World is stilly my favorite game of all time.
As someone who hasn't been paying a ton of attention, is there every going to be a normal amount of supply for these? Or can we anticipate this to be consistently pretty rare like the NES was?

I did get it. I’m likely going to keep it but I’ll let you know if I decide not to. My biggest problem is I finally got a Raspberry Pi up and running after giving up on getting the SNES, so now keeping the SNES seems rather redundant, but on the other hand it was only a hundred bucks and it’s just neat to have.
By the sounds of it supply should equalize. They’ve released way more after the initial release than the NES ever did, and resellers aren’t selling nearly as high as the NES did. Likely tough before Christmas though.
I had no luck with B.B. or Walmart. Had one in my cart 2 seconds after being released and then the B.B. site crashed and gave me an error, and Walmart had none left by the time checkout loaded.
Amazon was the only one I had luck with, but using the app and having one-click turned on likely helped.

FYI, for anyone looking to take the next step and build their own retro gaming system, you can now buy a Raspberry Pi case that's almost identical to the NES mini
I just got one, and it's the best Raspberry Pi case out there period, not just as a gaming case. Gonna make a sweet little Christmas present for my niece and nephew
The front flap isn't just for show like the real NES mini
Spoiler!
It's basically a 4-port USB hub. This means you can also plug in a wireless keyboard dongle or small USB storage drive to the internal ports and still be able to connect 4 controllers
