No, you are severely incorrect. Everything that bears his name as the author has a ghost writer who essentially wrote every word. The guy who wrote The Art of the Deal came out and talked about how he had to present Trump in a better light in order to sell books. This is after years of Trump claiming he wrote the book, when he didn't do a single thing but have a ghost writer follow him around for months.

The fight for white privilege is an interesting way of characterizing what's going on among Trump's core supporters. It also harkens back to where white privilege comes from, i.e., exploiting other races and colonizing them. The US is a classic example of this, with slavery and genocide being keys to the original success of its white population. It seems that some of these folks remember how their bread was originally buttered.
It's an interesting ethical question too: to what degree should you fight for the well-being of the group you identify with at the obvious expense of other groups? And what groups are you (and are you not) allowed to draw lines between?
