That was a pretty nice looking PP. Too bad it didn't result in a goal. Flames still getting some pressure on Varlamov, 5 minutes left still quite a bit of time.

How can the refs whistle a play dead when a a player dives on the puck.... That was garbage.... Then Johnny getting his stick ripped out of his hands.

Ha. Nothing like cheering for a penalty kill that didn't touch the puck for over a minute.
No goal, but the momentum is fully in the Flames court after that domination. Avs going into a shell now, as figured would happen, Flames just have to be patient and bury one of the chances they're going to get.

gaudreau needs to at least look to shoot on the PP. Varlamov had no vision of the puck there, but gaudreau was looking at every pass possibilty and eventually looking back at the point, before the goaltender even knew where the puck was.
