I know it's more complicated than this, but it seems like many of the guys who are looking for tryouts are better (or at least no worse) than a lot of players on other teams.

I guess it comes down to circumstance and the particular needs of each team.

I noticed that too. Like with Raymond last year. It seems like teams would rather a slightly worse "their guy" over a slightly better UFA.

Then July 1st hits and can't understand it.

Fraser's contract is a two way NHL deal.

I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on him if he gets put on waivers, From Alberta, plays RW and is over 6 feet, 200+ pounds.
