commit to spending more quality time with friends and family and less to work. Work wont be there for me when I need it and friends and family will.

The older I get the more I learn the importance of the above because I cannot remember the last time my boss ever gave a damn about anything other than the 250K+ I earn him every year.
Him going without DOESNT happen and this year it stops!!!

I dropped 10 pounds last year and started gaining some muscle, and I plan on keeping that trend, but I wouldn't call it a resolution. I just never got the whole resolution thing. It's just another day, if there's stuff I didn't change in June why will I stick to it in Janary?

Bump. Any new resolutions for 2012? Mine last year was to have a better year and it got better near the end which is alright. My new year resolution this year is to just find a job and graduate from high school while making new friends.

1) Get better at hockey. I started a few years ago and have moved up a couple divs in Ice Hockey. Im 27 and feel like I'm learning the game every day. It is amazing how much you start to watch NHL/World Jrs more closely and think "wow great play". Last season I learned about playing better positionally and this year I would like to work on shooting/Skating.

2) Run more. I'm like Pylon, in that I started a couple years ago at 210 pounds. I'm now down to about 170. Running, working out and eating right have gotten me there. My goal is to run 10km in 50 min flat. Today I did 6km in 30, so I'm getting there.

3) Kind of goes against the other two, but enjoy some of the little things more. I cut out booze, pop, junk food and so much to reach my goal. Now I'm at a place where I want to enjoy that stuff again, in moderation.

4) Travel more. Went to Italy, Greece and Turkey this summer, first time travelling abroad, I want to see more of the world.

To stop making these half-baked efforts at things and just go for it, without excuses. I feel like such a loser ;( I need a kick in the butt.

And I will get a flu shot next year! Jeez it's no fun to be sick on New Year's.

I've got to lose some weight. I've been at 190 for as long as I can remember, and this year, went up to 208 and holding.

Ideally, Id like to get to 185, but would be happy for 192-195

I'll check back to this thread in one years time.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

not really a new year's resolution, but i'm looking forward to work not being as insane - then i can get back to my workout routine.

every year september to Christmas is just ######ed and it's almost impossible to maintain a regular workout routine. i've found that there are many perks to being self employed, but one of the downers is that it's really hard to only work 8 hours/day. i'm usually happy if i can limit it to 12

I don't do resolutions, I figure I can change any day of the year if I want.

To work my ass off in school so that by the time 2013 rolls around I'll be in a good position to get a job in the game industry.

To hear a woman say to me "I love you" for the first time in my 37 years on this earth. I know I have done some bad things, I know I have done little to deserve it, but tonight, as I sit here, 7 minutes, before I should be celebrating with a loved one. I just realized, nobody has ever said those words to me. I am so f'n lonely right now.

Not break anything in my body this year. I've used that as my resolution in the last 3 years, in that time period I've broken two ribs, a metatarsal, developed a bone bruise in the middle knuckles of both hands and my right shin, had a concussion (up to ten, yay!), sprained my acl, and shredded what little there is still left of my shoulder. So this year, I'm going to try really hard not to go gung ho, head first into things.

Unfortunately, anyone that's every played any form of hockey with my knows that I'm the type of guy that will lunge face first to block a shot in a completely meaningless game...

Maybe my resolution should be to win more, I like winning, and that can be paired with more things than not breaking my body.
