Giving aid and help should be no strings attached. These people are down on their luck or need a little something to get by, or a little toy for a kid over the holidays. They don't need to have an organization enforce their belief system on them.

(Regarding potential convert = gift, no convert = no gift. If an organization redistributes something they don't want to hand out, that's fine...as long as they don't just outright throw it out.)

However, I personally wouldn't choose to fund or donate to a charity that takes the stance that they do regarding things like homosexuality. Frankly I'd prefer a totally secular charity. If you prefer SA, well, that's great too.

But I guess you have no problem with their stances on other issues. So you don't drink, gamble, watch pornography or take illicit drugs all while keeping the Sabbath holy?
I have a problem with a lot of their stances, including abortion. I just picked one as an example.

The more I read, the more disturbed I get. In New York they threatened to close all their soup kitchens if the recently passed law demanding equal benefits to same sex partners was not repealed.

The politically correct one to use as an example! But if they changed their stance on that one, would you still refuse to support them?

Why do you care? You don't support them so you've got no problem if they close up their soup kitchens anyway.

Well using the threat to stop charity because of an equal rights issue is pretty despicable.
