Californication - RHCP. To be fair, its been more than a decade before I've liked anything by them, but this song puts me into a bad mood for some reason.
On the flip side, one band that I seriously have a hate on for is Billy Talent. Yet I loved Rusted from the Rain.
Rusted from the Rain? Don't you mean "Lustin' for Loraine"?
I've always hated "Surf Wax America" from Weezer's first album. It almost ruins one of my favourite records, almost. Luckily everything else makes up for the one gaffe.
I can't pin point the exact song. Probably "Right Behind You" by Our Lady Peace. But generally the Spiritual Machines album has ruined OLP for me. I can still listen to Naveed, but I just don't want to listen to OLP anymore.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Spoonman by Soundgarden is so embarrassing and awful I can't believe it was made. I like a ton of Soundgarden stuff, but Spoonman has tainted them forever for me.
Spoon solo (omg) starts at 2:12:
The rest of the album is sooooo good though. I just skip that song. Too bad it's just about the only one ever played on the radio or Soundgarden might get the accolades they deserve.

I really dislike Money by Pink Floyd. Not saying it ruins DSOTM for me, just saying that I wouldn't complain if that track wasn't there.
And while on the topic of the classics, All My Love by Led Zeppelin is a terrible song.
I wouldn't like it much either if I didn't know what it was inspired by. Pretty hard for me to dislike a song that a guy writes about the death of his child.

The wrote it as a critique of Chinese political propoganda. Of course I always question the true motives of bands writing really catchy, **** songs to be ironic, and they happen to end up being hugely successful singles.
REM also refuses to play anymore because they hate it so much.

Agreed. Naveed was a solid album with some excellent songs, but they went downhill quickly after that. There were some decent tunes on Clumsy but most of it I wasn't impressed with. Any of their albums after that were just plain awful, with the exception of the odd song here and there. It's a shame.

The biggest problem with this album in general, I think, is that its incredibly compressed. That song in particular is over the top; you can hear it clipping.
It didn't ruin the band for me, but I'm really not a fan of D'yer Ma'ker by Led Zeppelin. Especially because it seems to be the only Zep song that Q107 knows how to play.
It's completely silly. "Look, we made a reggae inspired song and we cleverly named it Jamaica without naming it Jamaica!"
I'm a big Zeppelin fan, but it is low on my list.

Tears In Heaven is an awful song, in spite of the sentiment.

On a different note, I'm always amazed whenever there's a thread about music on here because your musical tastes are almost always eerily in lockstep with mine, Dis. I usually don't post in these types of threads because of that reason; anything I was going to post was pretty much already posted by you. Also, stuff I haven't listened to that you've recommended in the past I've checked out and generally enjoyed.
