Chicken and Waffles

Am I the only one that thinks chicken and waffles are extremely overrated? I like fried chicken, and I like waffles, but they do not go together in my mind.

On the topic of fried chicken though, Calgary needs a Popeye's chicken. Spicy chicken with their cajun gravy is the bomb.

It has to be done right. Chicken and Waffles need a good gravy/syrup to mesh the two together and can't be just a piece of fried chicken on a waffle. Done right it is amazing, done wrong it is a waste.

Although I didn't have the chicken and waffles at the Beltliner, the food we did eat there a couple of weeks ago was awesome. I'll definitely be going back there, and will likely try the chicken and waffles.

I tend to order mine without gravy and find it a lot better. Maple syrup on chicken is great! gravy on waffles is not

If Calgary had a Popeyes, I'd be dead in a year. I'm just glad Chick-Fil-A is so far out of the way.
