Well, I made the mistake of checking out her website, and for some reason the thought that immediately popped into my head was "what George Costanza in drag would look like..."
BTW, Slava, get some signs out there - all I see in Woodbine are "Taylor" signs...

Really? I stood on the street in Woodbine at 24th for a couple of hours the other night and waved at cars. I have signs there, and further down on 24th...maybe this weekend I should just paper the place though? Its funny though, most people ask me if there is anyone else running despite the enormous amount of signs out there!

I saw a sign of your for the first time on Sunday. Taylor has had a big board on 24th and a bunch of other signs.
BTW any chance my special needs alderman (Diane Colley-Urqhuart) might lose?

Well there will be more signage for sure. I haven't gone the route of the the bold signs as I think that most peoplejust drive past without noticing them for the most part....its a gamble, but that is certainly what I do at this point in the election! If you know of spots where I need some signs though, let me know!!
I don't think that DCU is going anywhere. I voted and went with Andrew Rodych. I've talked to him a number of times and he has similar priorities to me. I hope for the best in this regard, but the reality is that DCU will be declared re-elected at approximately 8:01pm on Monday. That is just shortly ahead of when I hope to be declared elected as well in case you're counting and speaking with your neighbours!

Unfortunately I don't live in your ward, but my girlfriend and her parents do, and I have pointed them in your direction.

Ahahaha, she came into the store I worked at years ago! She handed me her business card (PhD in Me? Impressive!) and then she berated me for "being poorly educated" in a university that "makes people feel stupid".

Missed the bus

As I was walking out of the Safeway on 24th in Woodbine/Woodlands this nut job approached me. I barely glanced in her direction and she speedwalked up to me holding out a paper and saying robotically "My name is Helen Mowat I'm running for School Trustee, my website is very powerful and I want to turn education right side up! Check out my website it's very powerful"
I knew immediately this is the creep/moron I was warned about. I saw her harass like 5 more people in the lot... what a gomer.
Edit: Needles to say, I Pick Vic!

She's leading so far. Very early, of course.

Sorry Slava - I think it was those damn huge signs along 24th. Everybody saw "Taylor" for a couple months...

Well guys, thanks for all of the support nonetheless! I am disappointed with the results (pretty clearly), but such is life. I guess my time at the c-train stations, grocery stores and standing on the corners felt a lot better than it really was! It gave me the impression that I was doing pretty well and would be in the mix...alas it was not to be. I still really appreciate the support that I did get though.
I am very disappointed that Helen Mowat got more votes than me, and I'm not sure how that happens! At least she didn't win though, that would be a problem for all of us IMO.
Thanks again!
