Just out of interest, are most people on here;
  • cheering the USA to win, or;
  • cheering Europe to win, or;
  • impartial, and just enjoying the event?

Cheering for the USA, and enjoying the event. It's my favorite golf event in the world.

Cheering for the USA and enjoying the event also, mostly because I know them and watch them all year. I don't know many of the Europeans.

USA for me even though I'm part European. Mostly just because I'm a big Woods fan.

2:05 MST start time for the singles matches if I'm reading things on the website correctly.

I cheer for the team that doesn't have the Ryder Cup, so in this case, go Europe. Mainly I just enjoy the event, though.

US making a bit of a move...but a long ways to go and a lot of ground to make up.

And europe is answering back. Unless there is a big collapse the Euros win this thing easily.

Furyk likely just spelled the end of the US chances....it was a longshot anyhow.

One another note, Tiger is lighting it up today, he just eagled a hole from 160 yds or so to go along with 3 birdies. He is smoking Kaymer.

Cink needed a point and Furyk needs a half. Assuming Overton beats Fisher, the US will need 1.5 from Mahan, Fowler or Watson. That is if Furyk gets something here. My math might be off as well.

You mean he's smoking Molinari.

Cink HAD to win that match. Missed putts on both 17 and 18 as McIlroy was hitting it all over the place.

If we give the 1UP Overton match to the US and everyone else who has big lead, it's 14-13 Europe. The very last match is McDowel 2UP against Mahan, Mahan would have to somehow win that one to have the US retain the cup 14-14. Still 9 holes to go in that one.

------

The Euros have made everything the last couple of days, never seen so many 20+ foot putts go in!

Pretty close.. it's 12-9 right now.

Jimenez and E. Molinari are going to win so that's 14.

US have to win the rest. Phil, Tiger, Overton, Z. Johnson and Mahan.
They're all ahead except Mahan.

-----

Pavin will regret taking Fowler. Just too young and over-awed. Youth can be exciting and give the team energy but only at home I think. Doesn't have the same effect on the road.

Yeah Fowler was a questionable pick when it happened.

McDowell is not going to falter IMO....he is just way to in control of his game.

So I just dont see anywhere that this thing ends up anything but a Euro win.

And yeah...Tiger smokin Molinari...one of em.

Cink should have buried McIlroy. With a likely 4 points coming, that would have given them 14. Too bad for them.

I can't stand listening to the BBC or watching SKY coverage. The announcers are yelling "Come on Luke, come on Luke!" and "YES!!!" when they win a hole.

I'm no lover of US athletes (not all, but some), but this horrible partisanship over here prevents me from cheering for the Euros.
